RE: Martin William Murphy family
Hi There. Good to hear from you. My grandmother was Cecil Pearl Murphy, sister to Charles so I guess I am related to your husband. I have information but cannot do pictures. I am new at this stuff & I am lucky to get things typed in. Hope to hear from you again to compare notes. Take care.

Hi There. There is another child to be added Olive Ruby Murphy Frye Hibbs #93461281 to #38949113. I Have sent Human additional info on Olive today & suggested that he transfer Olive to you since you manage most this family. She is my great aunt sister of my grandmother Cecil Pearl. I spent a lot of time at her house in Mannington. Do you have any information on the burial site for Essa Lee Murphy Grimm, their sister. It seems that if you are a relative that our records may intertwine. I am 66 years old & just started researching seriously a couple months ago. Take care, I am sure I'll write you again.

Denise, please feel free to delete the 3 photos I added to Rev. Bobby King's memorial if you know they are not his. I would like to know whose photos they are if not his, so I can correct my records.

Rev, Bobby King & Frances Holland
Hello Denise,

I have added a photo to the memorial for Rev. Bobby King & Frances Holland that I do believe is actually them. The other photo (which I also had on my tree on Ancestry) cannot be them because it is too recent. Please take a look at it and tell me what you think. The older photo definitely matches the drawing of him.I noticed this today as I was reorganizing my King family photos. I don't know who the other couple is. Possibly his son?

RE: Lankford/Brooks
Thanks for your quick reply. If correct: I think I have traced Curtis Caldwell Lankford back to Henry and Catherine Lankford (1734-1830) - with a few missing dates along the way. Such as: I think Curtis's mom was a Moore but have nothing else on that path.
I have nothing past Curtis Lankford's wife, Nancy E (McCarty) Lankford.
My path on the Brooks side stops with William Henry Brooks(1869-1925) parents George W and Nancy Elizabeth (Sanders) Brooks.
Would love any pics, grave info, history or stories you have. Let me know the easiest way you have found to share info. This is kind of new to me.
I just found the findagrave site yesterday and have already located several family gravesites!
Thanks again!

Hello Denise. My grandfather is Benjamin Franklin Brooks - son of William Henry Brooks and Florence Lankford Brooks. I have also seen your name on other posts - are you denisemurphy1313? I did research years ago (before the internet!) and am just getting back into it. This site is awesome. How are you connected to the family?

The submitter (you for this photo) of a photo is the only one that can delete the duplicate photo. Just click on the photo and it will give you the delete option. Thank you for the photo.

Bill O
Curtis Lankford memorial # 32136247
Hello Denise,
My name is Bill O'Hearon and I live in Whitfield County GA, but I am also researching families in this area as well as Haralson County. I have a Curtis Langford/Lankford frome the Paulding County GA and Haralson County GA area, who was my GGgrandfather and I have had major trouble finding information on him. I was looking at the Curtis Lankford memorial #32136247 and wanted to bring something to your attention. First let me say I am not trying to correct anyone but if the facts are there I want to let someone know what I see and they can make their own decesion.... That being said the memorial on Curtis Lankford states he was born in 1828. If he was discharged on July 1, 1862 he would have bee 34 years old and certainly not have been "underage". I used the same facts on "my" Curtis Lankford who I believe was born to Edward and Margaret Lankford in Paulding County GA aroud 1851 or 1854 (I think that my Curtis was too "young" to have enlisted in 1861.), anyway yo can of course make your own decesion but this may be something to think about...
I see you now live in Virgina, so if you need anything from around my area let me know and I will do my best to help you locally. my Email address is

Good Luck in you research...

Thanks for the edit, appreciate it! Love to see those miniature portraits on gravestones, but there aren't many of them at Fairmount. Good luck with your research,
