Carol Jaeger
I have added a photo of both Carol's & Gordon's headstones, but will need to get a better shot of Carol's marker alone since the one I have isn't very clear.

RE: Sister Maria Concetta - Olivia Komatz
Thanks for the transfer! I usually use the edit feature, but your profile said you were related to most of your memorials, so I didn't want to step on any toes. I've had people get insulted or angry when I've asked for relatives.

I believe Concetta's niece was also SSND. She was born Dorothy Bongard, but took the name Sister Mary Adelaide. In her later years she went by Sister Dorothy, and may be buried as that. I have no date of death, but her birth date was 2 May 1925.

RE: Dorthea Vivian Ball
Judy, just wanting to say thank you in return for your thoughts for my mother. I love the photos up for Dorthea. The photo of her ribbons is truly nice to see. Both my mother & I love(d) needlework too, and it's wonderful to see someone get honors for theirs.

RE: Ethelyn Parkinson
Hello, Judy!

Thank you for the information about Ethelyn. Quite a few of my relatives have been perplexed upon learning the cemetery did not have info.

Herz Family Group

You are SO amazing. I do not know if there are words to describe how meaningful it is to me to be able to see the headstones of my Herz family at Spring Hill, and for you to go that extra mile to take the wide angle shots so that I can see exactly where each grave lays in relationship to each family member. You are truly, in every sense of the words, My Photo Angel!

I am wanting SO badly to fly up to Wisconsin sometime in the near future.

Thank YOU again for everything you have done for me! Your are TRULY amazing!

Thanks for the heads up Judy. I sorted the order and they all look good. I agree though, the grass does need trimming.

Hi Judy, thanks so much for the photos. I was wondering if you had any contact info for where the cemetery records are kept. I am planning a day trip but have so many family members in the cemetery I could use more information. I use a walker so locations are key for me. I was also wondering if I could use photos in my ancestry tree.

RE: Wehhausen's Cemetery
Hi Judy,
Sorry it took me so long to answer, but my computer was having problems.
One confusion is that Cedarburg & Zur Ruhe Cemetery are adjacent to each other, so names sometimes appear on one place or the other or both! Yes, I was working off an old translation.

Since these are not my family, I would be happy to transfer any/all of them to you if you give me their numbers. Thanks, Jan

Father Jerome A. Schaad

I noticed that you have created memorials for a number of the priests buried at Sacred Heart Monastery Cemetery, Hales Corner, WI. I am trying to verify that Father Jerome Schaad is buried in this cemetery. He was born in Columbus, OH on September 24, 1938. He died on February 26, 2001.

Here is a link to an article written about him at the time of his death.

Father Schaad was my 3rd cousin.,7110459

Thank you in advance for any assistance you might be able to provide.

Hi Judy - I got to the library last night but unfortunately found no obituary for Rose. I have transferred Rose to you because I feel families should be connected. If you think of anything further I can do, please let me know. Mary

Hi Judy - My entry was made from the cemetery record and the Illinois Death Record but that still doesn't mean the name is spelled correctly. I'm sure Dan Hays, manager of the cemetery will take the photo. Because she is in a single grave I think he will be able to find it easier than I would. But I will be going to the library early next week and I will look for an obit for her and let you know what I find. I will be glad to transfer Rose to you if you would like. Just let me know. Mary

Thought you might care to see these pictures recently posted of Twerskis visiting the graves of their parents and brothers that you kindly took for me several months ago. Here you can see what it looks like inside the "Ohel", as I did for the first time:

Many thanks...
for all the great pictures you took of several Twerski graves. My heart was moved to see them and read their poignant inscriptions. Your time and efforts are much appreciated.

Hi Judy:

I have a copy of her death cert. She died at Little Sisters of the Poor, where she had been for about five years. She is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Saint Paul.

Oliver J. Haessly (1906-1963)
Oliver J. Haessly (1906-1963), son of William Andrew and Gertrude Thomas was a photographer in the United States Navy during World War II. He served in the Pacific, capturing photos of Pearl Harbor, the invasion of Okinawa, and the Japanese surrender, including pictures of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and its effects. After the war, he was sent to the Bikini Islands to record the results of the atomic bomb tests there, capturing step-by-step footage of the bomb's damage to ships and buildings set up for that purpose. For his part in documenting the effects of the bomb, he received a letter of commendation.
