RE: Thomas Herrington
I'll correct. Some trees list his birth in New York and some Canada and when I saw the immigration from New York to Canada for a Thomas Harrington Jr. I didn't pay enough attention to the date. Which spelling is correct, Herrington or Harrington?

Thank you for the message. I don't mind being corrected.

Thanks for the very kind words! I am sorry most of the photos I recently added to Hill Cemetery are so snowy. I plan on re-photographing the entire cemetery the next sunny snow-less day. Jim

Hi Sandra,

My gr grandmother was a Hazard, so this is why I have so much info.
You can transfer any of the Hazard and Tennant memorials to me that you want to, as I am still working on them.

Thank you so much,
Cynthia

RE: Place of death
HI Again Sandra
I am local and I didn't know the church has a roll of honour with details of each person.... not sure how I missed that when I visited (several times)!! Some of my god-daughter's family tree has roots in Speldhurst so I have been there a few times...
Anyway I am glad you noticed and are able to fill in the gaps.

RE: Place of death
Thanks for all the edits.
I am going through them.
How come you have even dates of birth. That is pretty amazing. In general I have only managed a year of birth and place of birth when I have managed to trace a person.
Have you researched Speldhurst is that why?
Anyway keep going it all helps!

Speldhurst Memorials
HI Sandra,
yes I will enter the places though. I am not sure if the place of burial on CWGC is actually the place of death. Do you know that? Which is why I have generally not entered place of death. for example all the death during the Hythe disaster (ie at Sea) are buried in Gallipoli but they died at sea. Hence having omitted place of death I guess I could at least put country?

Yes all the names on war memorials should also have a name come up through CWGC in a cemetery somewhere so there shoul be at least one other 'burial' place for each name as there are two memorials. I ahve for example some names appear in Hythe memorial (St Matthews TW), on Southborough memorial and on TW Town memorial. I leave them as three memorials as the names appear on all three. I don't think there is a way to link them, only to link relatives, and I do not want to merge them as they are different memorials. I hope this makes sense.
Thanks for all your contributions

Susan

RE: St Mary Virgin Churchyard Speldhurst
Hi Sandra
Thank you so much glad I was able to help. I do some work on WWI most days ... I am trying to use ancestry and CWGC to confirm they were in Tunbridge Wells. Some I cannot confirm and too many or no possibilities. I don't think it was my grave but as I had the photos which I am trying to add to local war memorials.
Any help would be great. Especially WWII which I am not doing yet, as concentrating on WWI

Just click on burial field, change to Blandford Cemetery, and the photo and the family connections remain. All fixed. Becky is inactive which slows this down, but it is getting done.

RE: Joseph Otter
Hi,

Thanks for putting up the info I sent you. No, I am not related to Joseph Otter. This past spring, I created a number of memorials for people buried in Rosehill Cemetery, Clark, SD. I have been adding details to their memorials as I have time. What I sent you is some of what I found.

Thanks again,

Larry Estes

Your most welcome! I love being able to put our bits n pieces together for others to find. Some folks are so adamant that we shouldn't leave familial info, but I strongly disagree! I also live in Washington State. Federal Way. Where are you?

Thanks for the compliment. I try to take as good a photo as I can. It happened to be a bright and sunny day which helps a lot. I am not directly related. I was in Hollis photographing family stones and I almost always take additional photos.
