Here's a few more things
Carlton H married Sarah L ANDREWS, youngest child and only daughter of John H Andrews and Dores G (nee unknown). She died in 1886 and John remarried a second woman by the name with a similar name-Doris (again, nee unknown). Sarah and Carlton were married in East Aurora April 30, 1902.

Sarah Beaver Kent did not die on the 20th, that was the date the article appeared in the paper. She died on the 18th. She committed suicide by hanging herself in the barn on the farm where she lived with her husband Ony and their son and his wife and Ony's father, Albert.

RE: Jonathan and Joseph Kent
Hi Sandy, I live in Hamburg NY and descend from the Hawks/Ward family of Sardinia and eventually Protection. My ggg-grandfather donated the land for part of Protection Cemetery. I have driven by Humphrey many times, but have never stopped.

Anyway the Concord book was given to me by my gg-grandfather BUT I was so excited to find it on the internet! Just search the name of the book and you should find it. It's a free e-book on Google. A word of warning, the search function does not seem to work real well so when typing in a name, do not assume it's not in the book even if the results returned are "0".

Many people gloss over the book because the title is "Concord", but there is a large section on Sardinia as well as a section at the end for families that don't fit into any of the towns but were still part of the area only on the "outskirts"-that's where I found Joseph Kent and his sons bio.

I have read several articles in the Buffalo News about property issues over the cemetery. In several articles is discusses how the owner of the farm next door "plowed under" parts of the cemetery! I am sure we'll never know many the folks that are buried there, but I am trying to see what I can find. I have added several burials of people I believe to be buried there, but have no proof-always making sure to say that in the bio. Most being spouses of folks we know are buried there. I have the records for Protection from the caretaker, but I do not believe there are records for Humphrey.

The newspapers are about all we have to go on for burials without stones and often it does not specifically say "Humphrey" in the obit.

Let me know if you find the book online. If not, I can send you a link.

No problem in transferring just needed to verify that you were related somehow. Would you like Nellie's husband and their children?

FYI Anna's first husband Ebenezer Niles was killed War of 1812 on sentry duty. His mother was Susannah (Johnson) Niles. His brother Johnson Niles was founder of Troy MI.

See the source below. It's on-line. Paste it to your search window. The 1790 date on her stone is obviously wrong given her age at death. This source doesn't say where Anna was born. I believe that was at Frederickburg Dutchess Co NY but no absolute proof.

RE: Corrections for Belidere
The only thing I can figure is that the person who typed up that list you worked from made some typos. I have been told that stones are a reliable source but I guess we could double check with the cemetery records.

Question: I have several relatives that were cremated and the ashes scattered. How do I enter their information into Find A Grave. I saw a couple where the names are entered with no cemetery so when you search for a name they still come up but didn't know if that was a correct protocol or not. Your input please.

RE: Yarnes in Hazard Corner Cemetery
Sorry, I don't have their maiden names but you can trace this in the census records. In the 1865 New York census, you see him married to Christina and the record states that this was the 3rd marriage for both of them. His daughter Eliza is living with him in both the 1865 census with Christina and the 1860 US census, where he is living with Lorancy. In the 1855 NY census, he and daughter Ann E. are living with his brother Harry, and in 1850 he is living only with his wife Sarah Ann (daughter Ann Eliza is not born until 1853). This storyline fits perfectly with the graves, where Sarah Ann dies in 1855 and Lorancy dies in 1862. The daughter Ann Eliza also helps to tie all these records together.

RE: Florence Boudrou Emme
Johanna Reetz Emme was my Grand Aunt, her sister Margaret Reetz Knox was my Grand Mother, Zola Knox Bahr my mother, and Volney Bahr my father. This made Paul Emme a 1st Cousin 1X removed. At the time of Florence's death, Paul was employed in Estes Park Colorado, which is near Lyons, CO. I got the information from where they lived off of Ancestry and some of the posted Trees. The U.S. Social Security Death Index listed her death last residence as Lyons, CO. Did Paul and Florence have any children? I have been unable to find any thing listing children for them. Also Johanna was married to August Emme 30 Apr 1913 in Gregory County South Dakota. So all that being said I would guess that we are distant cousins.
