Donald Whipple Fox / Hushasha
Bedford Valley
Hi Harriet: I'm researching my maternal aunt's husband's family, the Zembowers. I have run into a few obituaries with place names which are proving difficult for me. Most of the individuals are in Cumberland, Alleghany, Maryland. However, I keep seeing "Bedford Valley." I can't make it out if that is in Maryland or Pennsylvania or both. Some of these obituaries simply state that the individual was born in Bedford Valley and that their child lives in "city." I have no idea and was wondering if you have come upon this. Thanks for any help you can give me. Best wishes from sultry Minneapolis, Donald Fox

Mary E. Roberts Perdew
Hi Harriet,

Mary E. Roberts Perdew is not buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery with her husband. She is buried in the Johnson cemetery. Her parents, George W. and Rebecca P. Roberts are also there. Please transfer her memorial to the correct cemetery and link her to her parents.

When the family went to bury her husband, Moses K. Perdew, the grave kept filling with water so they buried him in Mt. Hope Cemetery as a second choice.

click on relationship. Be careful to send them all on one SAC , If sent separately on the same day or in the same cycle, one correction will delete other corrections sometimes. this is a known glitch and is being worked on.

Source for Margaret Wisegarver Crissman burial
Hi Harriet,

Could you share your source for Margaret Wisegarver Crissman being buried in Horn Cemetery? There is no photo of the grave and a published genealogy states that she is buried in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Cessna. I'd love to know your source as it would make sense she is buried with her husband in Horn.

Thank you,
Alexandra

You may be interested, since it points towards some errors in your listings that I advised you on in that e-mail I sent. We can't let those genealogy errors continue, they will destroy the credibility of the Cemetery Listing.

RE: Fishertown Lutheran Cemetery
Hi Harriett

I do not "manage" the Fishertown Lutheran Cemetery, I've only submitted names for it for memorials. You would need to write to the administrators for Findagrave.com to have your suggestion added for location.

Harriet,
Thank you for the links.
Thank you for your work to save "Lost" cemeteries. We enjoyed the article in the Morrisons Cove Herald. We need to find someone to care for the Burket Cemetery on Piper Road in Hopewell Township, Bedford Co. We found about 16 stones there this spring. It hasn't been cared for in 3 years the neighbor said.
Thank you for all you are doing.
Mary

Hezekiah Barkman
Hi Harriet,

This is a second request. Hezekiah Barkman listed in this memorial did not die in 1903. I have attached the obituary for the Hezekiah Barkman who died in 1903. He has different parents, birthdate, and relatives. Please remove the death date on this Hezekiah Barkman to prevent confusion. When done, please let me know so that I can try to remove the obituary.

D. Sutor
Burial Location of Katherine Smouse Cessna
Katherine Smouse Cessna was not buried in Blairsville Cemetery. She died in November 1857 in Lawrence township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania which is quite a distance from Blairsville, Pennsylvania. She was living with her son John Cessna at the time of her death. Thus it is more likely that she is buried upon his farm in Clearfield County or at his church at the time. I have not been able to locate this information as of yet.
