Thank you so much I really enjoy doing this with my Grandson. WE clean it as much as we can.But I am old and he too young. I also resemble Felix, as do my other 4 brothers, but 2nd oldest *really* looks like him.
I do have his death date wrong and I have no idea how that happened. I've fixed it in my posting.
His brother, Robert Duff, died less than a week and about 10 miles from where Felix fell. Robert fought with the Royal Scots and they're buried in different cemeteries. Not sure why I didn't put Robert's death up here. Need to fix that.

Thank you SO much for posting the newspaper blurg and photo of my Grand Uncle, Felix McGlone.
I have very little information on him and to see his picture like that, well, it gave me a shiver. My mother was the splitting image of him, as is one of my brothers.

Thanks for upload of photo: Arthur William Foster 1850-1930 (S.F. Chronicle, 03-May-1900, pg. 12). A.W.'s daughter, Mary Fyffe, married H.N. Kuechler I, brother of my Great-grandpa. The Kuechler family of the S.F. Bay area, are my cousins - without exception (my mother was born Kuechler).
