RE: William Hoover
Hi, Betty...yes, his father had died - but his mother took his younger sister and married again - had a whole new family. I'm having trouble getting over the fact that little William was just abandoned. I've written to the Diocese for any records they may have from St.Joseph's Orphanage. I believe his father - Frank A. Hoover - was cremated, so I don't suppose there's a stone for him either. Thanks for your efforts! Paula

William Hoover
Betty, thank you so much for your efforts and time...I guess poor little William didn't have a stone or a marker for his brief time on earth. Still attempting to find out why he was abandoned - can't imagine it. again - thank you. Paula

Thanks a million for the photograph! I live 1000 miles away, so there's no way I could get it myself.

Thanks so much for hanging in there with my request, Betty. I don't know why an email doesn't get sent when someone suggests an edit. I had the same thing happen to me a while back, so you aren't the first one to be unaware of this feature. Thanks for taking the edit.

RE: Marie Waibel
Sure, Betty. I added them in the "suggested edit" tab which does not always pop up. Would you please check to see if you have any edits pending? I know I put them in there.

If you can't find it, let me know and I'll send them again.

Thank you!

Anna Belle Matthews Swoger
It's entirely possible that Anna didn't have a tombstone. If you can't find one and you know you are in the right area, what a friend does is she would just take a picture of the area where the person was buried and mention no headstone. Her husband is buried in another cemetery and he doesn't have one either.

RE: Walter Trask
His birthday was listed as 8 Feb 1888 on his 1917 WWI draft card but on WWII card he lists birth date as 8 Feb. 1896. I don't know what the age of enlistment was for WWI but if 1896 was his true date that would make him 21. I know many men listed their age as older to be able to serve in that war, but normally by only 1 or 2 years.
I will change the birth date to the 1896 year since that must have been what was given to the funeral home by family members.
On a web page, Trask Web Pages, it was noted the 1888 date and that is where I got the record for where he was buried. It also states he was buried there with his 3rd wife, but no name was given to her. When you do get back to the Div 3 records could you check on a name for his wife please?
Thank you,
Margaret Rae
