RE: Old Sutton Cemetery
Hi Cory,

I sure wish I knew exactly where in Robeson County that cemetery is! If you find out, I hope you'll let me know.

Blessings,
Annie :)

Listed in "Help with Find a Grave" can be found on the left side of you screen.

Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer. Bulk surname requests should not be made. Be advised that memorials listed as famous or maintained by Find A Grave will not be transferred.

Hi Cory,
Thank you for the correction I have made the change. If you find anymore could you please use the Edit button and submit any changes that way it sure does save me some time. If there is something that the edit selection does not cover please use the last one I think it is "other suggestions" this helps in that I don't have to hunt down the memorial especially if a memorial number is not included.

One last thing I must mention or I would feel remiss if I did not. It is suggested especially on the old stones not to use chalk it is considered very caustic and damages the stone. If you use a reflective windshield screen to reflect light on to the stone it can raise the lettering by causing shadowing, I did not know this when we were doing our earlier photographing. If I am by myself and unable to use the light method and really really need to know what the date is especially if documents do not go back for birth dates, I may take a soft paper towel and wet it, then gently wipe, that sometimes brings out the letter. I have seen stones in TN that sadly were so damaged from someone doing something to either clean the stone or bring up the image. Two exact stones same death date and one still very readable but the second ruined on the top totally unreadable. Just a suggestion.
Thanks again for the correction.
Have a great day
Bushy

I did Woodland Baptist Church Cemetery in Granville Co., NC of everyone that didn't have a page for one of my cousins that attends the church there. Other than that, I usually work in Cemeteries in Louisville, KY, and mine and my husbands families.

As far as this one goes, Oakley Smith's wife's mother was a Macon which is how I came to do his page when I was doing research on the family.

I don't know if there is a marker or not for Oakley Smith, I added the memorial page to this cemetery from information per his death certificate.

The two stones are located in back of a brown single wide. If they let it grow over you will not be able to find them. I was told there was more somewhere back there. Did you look at the picture I posted. I would think unless the people who own the property keep it clear it is probably lost. You can go down that road to a white house with a covered porch and ask the person who owns the property if you can go look. Good Luck in your search.
