|James Faasen||Lane family research|
It has been years, but I'm now back exploring our Lane family of Nichols, Tioga, NY and that of Peter Lane and his relationship to Gilbert Lane, known father of Elizabeth (Lane) Satterlee, wife of William Satterlee.
I have reviewed the Revolutionary Pension Applications of Gilbert Lane and William Lane and find it interesting that they were of the same company and seem to state they both lived in the same towns. With families naming sons William, Gilbert, Joseph, Peter, and Isaac, I assume they are related. I just don't know how.
In addition, I found a Ulster county deed of 1847 (book 67, pg 153)that via a court judgement for Joseph Lane made against William G. Lane, Peter W. Lane, Daniel W. Lane, and William U. Lane that seized their property, but only William G. Lane could be found or at least his property and sold.
William G. Lane's property in Olive is sold off and the only Joseph Lane in the area seems to be in Shandaken and that is Joseph and wife Susan with sons David and Joseph S Lane that we believe was the son of Peter Lane of Nichols.
So who are these folk?

|Barbara Turner||RE: Henry F Leake death date|
Thanks for checking on that date. It just seemed suspicious that they both died on the same day. I will remove that date from Henry F. Leake's b. 1861 page.
Thanks and happy hunting!

|Barbara Turner||Henry Leake|
Would someone please confirm that Henry Fordham Leake, b. June 27, 1831 and d. on December 28, 1903 and Henry F. Leake, b. April 2, 1861 and d. December 28, 1903 is correct. Did father and son actually died on the same day? It is hard to tell the dates in the picture of the stone because it is so old. Thank you.

I created the Find A Grave memorials for Arthur &
Sarah Lane (Hudler Cemetery). I believe that you are working on the Lane family genealogy.
Would you like me to transfer management of Arthur & Sarah to you ?

Thank you so much for your kind words regarding my profile page....of which has gotten increasingly more extensive over the past few years. So much that I wonder sometimes if people take the extra time to read my thoughts. All are from the heart. I hope that they make a positive impact on people. I'm glad they did for you...
Thank you again...

|Marie Hayes||Clarence Yerry|
I am hoping that he is buried next to his wife Mary Smith Yerry. I have no date of death for her. He was a widow in the 1920 Census. His parents are buried in the Shandaken Cemetery, and they do not have a headstone.

thanks for reminding me to link her to her spouse -- I need to go back and check some of my memorials that were made before linking was possible -- appreciated it.
