Dorothy Dolly Mason Sutherland
Dolly,# 81849832 was my 5th great grandmother. she and Silas # 81849806 had a son named Captain Mason Sutherland # 9605072. I want to link him to his parents, but we can't link a child from a parent's page. sadly, the person who created the memorial for Capt. Mason passed away recently. her name was Bev #47588577.

Headstone Photo
Wendy -- I would like to use one of your headstone photos (Frank and Amber Wells, Memorial# 76146731) in a descendancy book I am compiling. I will certainly credit you in the book. The book is a non-commercial book, but I do plan to place it in several libraries and will likely have a digital copy online. Let me know if this will be okay. Thanks for your consideration. --Bart

RE: Silas Sutherland
cool! I added my great grandmother's grave on here. she died when I was 9. her parents had 4 daughters, so the Sutherland name ended with her. but we are all still Sutherlands. I got to be in the parade of clans at the Seattle Scottish Highland Games this year. it was soooooo great!

Kate Ebel
Thank you for sending Kate Ebel's obituary, it is very helpful. Family stories had Kate coming to the USA after her husband's death in Germany, which may not be true. It is not necessary to transfer memorial to me, your information is better documented than mine and I appreciate your help. Thanks again

Silas Sutherland
Silas is my 5th great grandfather. I have a photo of his son, Captain Mason Sutherland if you would like to see it.

thank you for posting this page. a distant relative showed me this link to Silas and also his father, Samuel and his grandfather, Roger. we are members of the Clan Sutherland group page on facebook and through posts, we discovered that we came from the same lineage. we need to chat more to find out where we splinter off and become distant cousins.

my mother found all of these ancestors through years of research before there was internet. so I have stacks of papers of family records. it's so cool!

Kate Ebel
My great Grandmother was Kate (Katherine) Ebel married to Joe Ebel. Kate is buried in Evergreen Cemetery next to Joe. She died in 1925 and you added her to the find a Grave website. Thank you for doing this. I am curious about her obituary and wonder if you could send me a copy.
Family information has Kate coming to America in 1881 after her husband and several children died in Germany.
If you need anything from me please let me know. My email address is debel721@att.net.
Thank you again

I am a new user of Find a Grave so am unsure how information is verified on memorial pages. I have so information given to me by my grandmother Evelyn Mavis nee Williams daughter of Mrs Charlote Williams which may be in conflict with the parentage information shown on this memorial page.

Stevens in Barrington Evergreen Cem.
While I'm not positive, I think Reuben may have been a brother to Jacob Stevens. Jacob was the father of Willard who married one of my Griswold girls.
I think there are more Stevens buried here including Jacob and Willard's 1st wife, Eliza Jane (Sharman) Stevens.

This is from my FTM file: "I've misplaced the death notice. He died at the railroad station, apparently on the way to Elgin as I recall. The coroner's name was Conklin.

Death notice in Woodstock Sentinel 11/1869 "An old gentleman aged about 85, fell in a fainting or sinking fit at the Fox River R.R depot at Nunda on Tuesday morning and soon expired. It appears that he had been living at Barrington with his son & was on his way to Elgin. He had for some time, it is said, been subject to such attacks. Coroner Conklin was at once summoned who returned a verdict in accordance with the above facts."
I don't know Jacob's wife's name but think she may have died in NH. She is not seen in the 1850 census.

Hi Wendy,
May I have permission to copy Minnie's two pictures? She was my husband's gg aunt. We descend from her husband William's brother Edzart. If anyone from Katherine, William or Thomas' family reads this, I'd love to contact you. Thanks Wendy for your efforts. Ronda
