My pleasure Julian.

Was he a relative of yours?

There is always a story behind every headstone at the CWGC cemeteries.

cyril gale
Julian, I have been doing my family tree the GALES and Cyril was my second cousin, I did wonder if he was maried and whether or not had any children, I have been unable find any records. Did you know the Gale family came from gloucestershire,Horton to begin with then they moved to Thornbury in the 1850s. Stephen Gale was Roberts father, some of the women at the begining did not marry. If you are having any problems with names and such like I will only be too happy to help. From Roger Gale.

Helon Moseley Tansil Jones
There is a Edward Tansil interred at a cemetery in Harrison County, Texas with a relationship to the subject name above. There is no marker for her but I have a note from a cemetery research person, who was a very credible person, who noted that Helon Tansil-Jones is buried with her father, Edward Tansil in the Forrest Rogers Dollahite Cemetery. It is a large stone and his is the oldest grave in the cemetery. I don't remember seeing her name on the marker but it is possible she is buried beside him and may be marked with a rock like a lot of others buried there. Helen was the sister of Patience Tansil-Rogers who is also buried there, along with most of her immediate family. Their father, Edward Tansil came for a visit, died and was buried here.

Terry (Todd) Ferl
Grave of William Lygon #150647499
Hello Julian,

I have just made this memorial for the 8th Earl Beauchamp (1903-1979); but, after much searching, I cannot determine whether he is also buried at Madresfield St. Mary's, as many of his ancestors are. I see you have made memorials for several Lycon family members buried there, such as his father William, the 7th Earl Beauchamp (#83725459). Would you be able to find out if his son the 8th Earl is buried there, too, and take a photo of his gravestone?

Many thanks in advance if you can help with this search.

year of birth
Hi Julian, I notice you have posted year of birthfor many old stones. Do you have any evidence for them apart from subtracting age from year of death?

Regards,

William

if it was the one at Romford, it is probably in my vast library collection from at least ten years ago which I never got around to routinely add-I tend now to look for photo requests.

Alvarado Transel Jr. 1880-1943
I could not find Alvarado head stone at White Dove Cemetery out side of Sparks, Oklahoma.
Checking into the cemetery records this week. I found a space where he might be buried at. Was able to find out about the Transel family. His father and mother was married in 1875.Mother was Amanda Clark, a native of Indiana, by whom four children were born; Louie Fox, E. Joy, Alvarado Jr., R.B.. The wife and mother died March 25,1882,and in 1884 Transel married Sophie Kunz, a native of New York City. By this union nine children were born. His father was the post Master of Sparks, Oklahoma.

L Walton Matthews
Re: Memorial# 82296563
Charles Walton was both my great-great-grandfather and my great-great-great-grandfather... and Annie May Walton was his granddaughter, and therefore William Walton's niece as opposed to his wife!

Her mother was Charlie's daughter, Bertha, who abandoned her as a baby to be raised by Aunty Sarah (she actually took in the illegitimate children of her other sisters and raised them, too). Bertha met and married a German national and emigrated over there, never to return - although she did write to Aunty Sarah until her death. Cousin May had severe learning difficulties/epilepsy and never married which is why she and the lovely, much adored Aunty Sarah (who also never married) are buried in Charlie's grave. We have no idea who Cousin May's father was.

Charlie was married to Emma, incidentally, who is not buried - to the best of my knowledge - in Bromyard, although my great-grandfather, their grandson, Francis Charles Edward Walton (son of Rose Walton), is buried within 500 yards of this grave with his wife. The Waltons farmed in Avenbury, by the old church, so I would imagine that Emma is buried somewhere there as she died prior to it's being closed for use. Other grandchildren/great-grandchildren of Charlie and Emma (through their daughter, Elizabeth who became a Powell and is buried in Swansea with her husband) are also buried in Bromyard - my grandfather, Ronald Charles Powell, my uncle Andrew Powell, and a few of my grandfather's siblings, for example.

Regards;
Lene

Sunshine
Yarnell or Yarnold
I am looking for burial information on
William YARNELL or YARNOLD [1790--Sept. 1826]. He is said to be buried at "Lindridge Parish" in Lindridge, Worcestershire.
I searched "Lindridge" on Find A Grave and got St. Lawrence Churchyard.

Also searching for his granddaughters, Elizabeth [1846--1851] & Rebecca EVANS [1850--1851]. They died in Dudley, Worcestershire.

If you could help it would be appreciated,
Ruthie

Lewis Bernard Pingree
I saw the images you posted for Lewis Bernard Pingree (84109397). I have the same picture of Lewis and his wife at home. I didn't know who they were though. My grandfather, George William Farmer, worked for the Midlands newspaper and ran the Plough Inn in Lower Broadheath for years. He died in 1980. George was married to my grandmother, Beatrice May Pingree. She died in 1975. Lewis Bernard Pingree was Beatrice's father. He and his wife had 11 children. Are you related to them?

Thanks!
