Thanks - Maybe one day I will get all my Emery', Edington Families linked together

Was Susan your mother? Tried getting some of my great great grandparents - some they claim I can not have as fall out of range - sad since I can add so much to them through the manuscripts on the Hardesty I have maintained since 1976 in fact working on it now - has some 20,000+ people in it. I updated the 1890 Emery genealogy and have other various Greene county family manuscripts I have done with lots of Greene county material book form & microfiche, pdf, cd-rom form.

Keep up the great work.

RE: Daniel Benson
I'm sure you are correct then. I was a little confused also. The "Posey County Burials" has him in Benson Burial Ground. Now I wonder about his parents burial location. Thank you for the reply. Are these cemeteries close to each other?

Clyde A. Farmer
Thank you for letting me know of your relationship with Mr. Farmer- as it happens, he is my 2nd cousin as well! I never knew him, but he is descended from my g-grandparents William J. and Melvina (McCubbin) Bass, their son Isaac Bass, then Isaac's daughter Myrtle Bass Farmer (I also never knew any of them, because they passed away long before I was born). Nice to know there are still some relatives left!

Julia Latimer Leavitt
Hello Helen,
I am a relation of Julia Leavitt, and I have her photo album from Japan, which unfortunately is missing a number of photos.
I have a few letters of hers, and other memorabilia. I would very much appreciate it if you could enlighten me as to the source of the lovely photos you have on her memorial page. I would happy to share what I have in exchange for more complete information or photos.

Carol A. Wells
Marie Hudson Eckers Whitting
In researching a branch of my family tree, I came across (on the marriage of Kiah Wampler, son of Asahel Hezekiah Wampler and Alice Welch, to Marie Ecker, daughter of James M. Hudson (attorney) and Altana(sp?) Westmoreland that divorced in 1899 and her first marriage ended with Ecker's death in 1926 (per information shared on the certificate/license). A piece of paper is covering this section, on Kiah's side of the page, for information about his first marriage's end. Anyway - the marriage took place in Tipton County, Indiana on Jun 25 1940. He listed this as being his second marriage and, apparently, they divorced as in 1944 Kiah Wampler married Alice G. Palmer in Thurston County, Washington. Just passing this along in case it is of interest on your side.

I am asking your permission to present this photo on my website in the "Laid To Rest" section at

My site is totally non-commercial and is a memorial to the regiment and for the research and enjoyment of those interested in the Civil War or the 16th OVI in particular.

Please let me know if it's ok to use your photo.
