RE: Nell Hall Elliot
Suggest you contact Polk Co. Historical Society and ask about Nell. We only have the cemetery book, they would probably know more.

Unmarked Grave photo
Can I post a photo containing the text "unmarked grave" or post a generic image of a grave to represent an unmarked grave?
No. Please record that information in the Note and/or Plot section of the memorial page. If you are a photo volunteer please inform the submitter of the memorial that there is not a marker so that they can add that information. This prevents volunteers from duplicating efforts in locating a stone.

RE: Laurel Young Lamoreaux
Everything on her memorial appears to be correct now. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to make the correction on the cemetery for her memorial. That will make it much easier for others to locate her marker in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery rather than trying to search the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.

A Mefford Lineage?

Dear Julee:

Perchance, are you a Mefford cousin? If so we might be related.

Fraternal regards,

J - Yes, I was a lovely niche! My suggestion would be that you change the memorial name from "ANNIE" to Anne - which is what her ash container says.

RE: Clarence M. Elliott 22991924
Thank you for the updated information. I updated everything and ran a quick search for him. Oregon Death Index shows his death occurred in Umatilla County... which typically means he probably died in hospital. The closest one to Irrigon being Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston, Umatilla Co., Oregon; Social Security Death Index lists his death location as Irrigon, Morrow Co., Oregon. This would've been where they sent his last benefit check. That is always the way Social Security Death Index lists their death locations... by their last benefit check. It's not necessarily where death occurred.

RE: Sego Cemetery
Just to make it easier for requests, it is best to send the request through the edit button on the top of each memorial. That way you are already connected to the memorial when you receive the request and don't have to look it up. I had forgotten about the marker that I had found somewhere on clip art or something. It was the only time I have used it. It is okay to use it. Thank you for asking. My husband and I just happened to run across this lonely little cemetery a few years back. Since I work on findagrave a lot, I decided to do some research and work on it. I have had several interesting contacts from it.

RE: Photo request
You are so welcomed. I just wish I could have got a better image so it could be read easier when looking at the photo.

RE: Sego Cemetery
Thank you for asking. This is a photo I took of Sego Cemetery. If you wanted to use it for another cemetery, I don't think you should. If you wanted to use it for an unmarked grave at Sego, that would be fine, except Findagrave already has chosen it as one for Sego on their cemetery page. Is your relative in my list of unknown and unmarked graves? Check for it. If it is, you can create their individual grave and I will remove their name from my list. Just let me know.

RE: John Hartsell
You're welcome. I had worked on an 11 mile stretch of hwy 70 and stayed in Thompson Springs about 25 years ago. In a trip through, I wanted to show my husband around. Both places were in a severe declining state when I was there before and sadly it's much worse now. I was very surprised he was buried there. I'm very familiar with the Rhodes family adventures from reading the books about them. I'm sorry he didn't have a marker, that was legible, if at all; very few did.
