RE: Hill Cemetery
Cobb County, very near 6 Flags Over Georgia. Sometime after about the mid 2000s it was fenced in with really tall chain link fence and padlocked. There is now a sign on it "Hill Cemetery, Cobb County Juvenile Court." I found a phone number once and called and was told that the juvenile court used it as some kind of a community service project for juveniles in their court system. Directions: turn off highway 20 and north on #78 for 2.6 miles. Turn right onto Ga #6 and go 1.6 mile to Austell; turn left at traffic light and cross RR tracks. Go 2.5 miles and make sharp turn onto Clay Road; go 1.6 mile and turn left onto Ewing Road. Cemetery .5 mile on the left. I haven't been over there in a number of years and I recall it is now in the middle of a subdivision which may explain the fence. The directions were pre-subdivision days. Catherine Barnwell who is buried there was my great great whatever grandmother, daughter of a Rev. War soldier. The land used to be family land and her grave is the only one marked with a tombstone, although there were what appeared to be other graves marked with rocks and the like.

RE: Brudette
Wow, now you have me confused. Is there another Burdett there beside her? I was told that her husband was buried elsewhere but on this website, under his memorial, there is no picture of a headstone and a photo volunteer was unable to locate it. I do know that they were seperated so that didn't strike me as odd that they would be in different places. I believe she has a son that may be buried out there near her without a headstone so perhaps this is his.

Ida Burdett
Hi Debbie,

Thank you so much for fulfilling my photo request for Ida Burdett. Sorry I haven't had a chance to thank you sooner. I had to travel to Georgia for my Dad, who had to have unexpected heart surgery. Ida was his grandmother so once he's recovered, I'm sure he will enjoy seeing her headstone. Again, thank you so much.

Baker Cemetery ~
Greetings Debbie. I noticed you left a question on another user's page HERE awhile ago, and I wondered if you ever got a reply? (I ask because I'm having a hard time reaching them.) And if you got no reply, I know the cemetery (really just called Baker Cemetery, but someone got creative in naming it on findagrave) is at the corner of Riverside Pkwy. & Bob white Road, just south of Mableton, GA.

RE: O'Steen pics
FYI - I was looking for another grave in Pisgah and saw a couple of more O'Steens that I'm about to post - two Venishas, and an infant, John.

RE: O'Steen pics
I read your note to my mother and she said "hmmm, I wonder how close she is to Fayette County?" Anyway, I'm going to add a request for some Barton's if you are interested!

RE: O'Steen pics
glad I could help, I'm new at this and it's lots of fun helping out... I was excited to see more of the family when I got there. You'll notice I used O'Steen or Osteen depending on how it was on the stone. Good luck!

Went by Mt Tabor and took pictures
Hi Debbie,
I went by Mt. Tabor on my way home from Cartersville today and took pictures that were requested. When I got home you had claimed them. I so sorry that I didn't claim them before going over to the cemetery. I wan't sure if I was going to have time to do it or not. I hope this isn't a problem for you.

RE: May HIxon

I went ahead and added the photo to May's memorial page. It was my pleasure.
