RE: Catherine Grigger Miles
And the poor husband of this woman! I spent all afternoon only to find that within the space of little over a year, he not only lost his wife, the above subject, but his sister, Janet, and his mother Margaret. All three are buried in Maple Hill Cemetery. And if that was not enough, his one and only son, Marine Sgt. Glenn Edward Miles, died in the Vietnam War 6 months after he got there. No wonder this man, Charles C. Miles, born in Plymouth, PA, died in Tyler, Texas. Catherine Grigger Miles is my 1st cousin, once removed.

Catherine Grigger Mills
should be Catherine Grigger Miles. "Mills" is understandable as there are several in Maple HILL Cemetery. That makes her the daughter of the son, John Grigger & Mary Madash. Because of you, I have resolved another person in my family tree that I do not think I could have done myself. Catherine Grigger Miles was married to Charles Miles, my next inquiry. THANK YOU!

Catherine L. Grigger Mills (d.1941)
Bob, I wrote to you before re: the above. I just had a thought. She may very well be the daughter of "John & Mary Madash Grigger, rather than the father of John & Susan Grigger. The son was born in Plymouth, but eventually moved to Philadelphia. I have a daughter, Catherine L. who was born in 1914,Plymouth, PA, and appears in the censes for 1920(Larksville,PA) and 1930(Plymouth,PA) and a listing in the 1933 Wilkes-Barre City Directory as a student, living at 135 Main Street,Plymouth, PA. I have her then married to a Collins in Philadelphia in 1944, but I was only guessing. I do not personally know that is true. So I am deleting that entry on Both the father & mother,John Grigger and the son and wife,John Grigger are buried in Edgehill. It could very well be the latter's daughter. I will search some more and see if Melvin Mills is her husband, also buried in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Possible transfer of memorials
I was just wondering about 3 of the memorials you created and if you had a family connection to the Clemows buried in the Shawnee Cemetery in Plymouth. If not, would you mind/would it be possible to transfer 3 of the memorials to me? They are my 2X Great Grandparents and Uncle. Their names are W H Clemow (#116795496), Elizabeth Clemow (#116796344) and Samuel Clemow (#116795576). I would really appreciate it! In any case, no matter what, I would like to thank you very much for creating these memorials for my family.

Thanks so much!

Morgan Fulton
Hi Bob,
I was wondering if there was any way you could take a photo of my great-great grandfathers grave, Morgan Fulton (#121001828) at Wilkes-Barre City Cemetery. I'm not having much luck with the other volunteers. HIs ploy # is on his memorial page so you won't have to look for it. Thanks again...Dan Roberts

James H. (Hill) George
Dear Bob,
I can not tell you how happy I am that you took a picture of the grave yard that my Great Uncle James Hill George is buried in. My grandmother Anne Brigstocke George was the last of 10 children born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania in 1885. In the 1900 census her mother and father were listed as having 10 children with 6 still living. I have tried over the years to find two that I didn't have information regarding. My grandmother told my mother that there were several James Hill George's in that family one being her father. Her brother just before her 1883 was also James Hill George. I couldn't believe my eyes when on the bottom of the page was listed James H. George born 1882 and dying the same year. This is one of the James H. George's she was talking about. The family came to the US in 1879 from Wales with other children but I always thought a boy child was born and died in Wales. Sorry for the long history, but I wanted to know if you would be kind enough to send me an actual picture of the gravesite if it wasn't to much trouble. My mother will be 97 in November and I would love to give it to her for her birthday. Now I need to find one more and I will be finished with research on her mother's siblings. Thank you kindly, Sandie Jane Martin

Thank you for posting such great information about Brice S. Blair, he is my 3rd great grandfather. I was wondering where you found the information for him as I would also like to read about the Davenport too. Also may I have your permission to repost his picture to my family tree.

Thank you again for all the work you have done on Brice.

Christopher Wren, cont.
It's me again. I forgot to mention that my father's family, including Jenny Wren Roberts, are also buried in Edgehill Cemetery. I have a few photos I could add, if appropriate.

Christopher Wren
Hi, Bob.

My name is Leslie Roberts. My grandmother was Jennie Wren Roberts.

I believe that the gravesite you have pictured for Christopher Wren is her father, my great grandfather. I believe this because I recently came into possession of a book written by him. It is about Indian artifacts, and references his membership/leadership in the archeology/.... Society, and shows him as an author and historian.

Do you have any other information about him? If so, I would love to know what you have. In particular, I am interested in who his parents were and who his children were.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Sincerely, Leslie Roberts

Family Relation
Hi Bob, You mentioned that your wife was a cousin of Edwin Jenkins. His mother Elizabeth's father was my grand mother Edith Powell Gansel brother. I used to play at their home, I believe on Shawnee Ave., when I was very young. There is a big age gap between me and most of my cousin's because I was a change of life baby. My brother Harry Powell is 14 years older, and the sister who passed before the age of three would have been 19 years older. Some times I get confused about my relation to these people because I was always taught to call any one older than I aunt or uncle, but they were really cousins. My e-mail address is if you would like to let me know your wife's connection. Thanks again for transferring the memorials. Sharon

RE: Lena Jaikes Osmund
Lena is the daughter of my father's 1st cousin, Sophie Grigger Jaikes. Which leads me to asking you if you are related. I do not wish to overstep my bounds. And leads to me to another question, do you know where her gravesite is located? I have been to Edgehill Cemetery many times, although I live 2 hrs away, and i know where her parents are buried, but I have not found any of the younger generation.

James McAlarney Davenport
Perhaps I am the only person studying the James McAlarney Davenport family. My 4 children's father:James Watson Mackie's (deceased) mother was Mary J. Davenport...her father was James McAlarney Davenport and her mother was Sarah Mae Picton. I have a family picture of them along with their 6 children and their families, which was taken on August 24, 1941. Up until now, I have been unable to find any information about their deaths. On your site, I was delighted to find the grave of Sarah Picton Davenport, on your site. I am still searching for James M. Davenport's date of death & grave.
If you have any burial information about him or any of their 3 sons: S.Herbert, Edwin, Bryce, please let me know. I am psyched to have the picture of Sarah Mae's tomb stone.
