RE: Eliza Douglass
I'm please to transfer your ancestral grandmother's monument to you.
I haven't been back in my hometown, Fort Worth, Texas, in almost 40 years now... It good to know someone there will care of the memorial, especially a great granddaughter.
All kindest wishes,
Dave Cheesman

Marsha here is a link for another site that may help with your search for Samuel Hickerson. Unfortunately it's not good news.

If your searches bring you back to Putnam Co. OH, I'll be glad to help.

Shirley Kimbrell Williford
RE: Your married last name
My Husband is Donald R. Williford, his father was Cecil Rudolph Williford, his grandfather was Elmer Lee Williford and his great-grandfather was Lee L. Williford. My research has come to a halt with Lee L. Williford, born Dec. 1859 in MS and died in 1928 in Lowndes County, MS. Lee L. was married to Louise Justice, who was born in 1864 in MS and died 21 Apr 1961 in Lowndes County. They are both buried in Friendship Ceme. in Lowndes County, MS.
It would be wonderful if you recognize any of these names, because I can't seem to get any further back in history than 1859.

Fannie Talley
In reference to the photo of Fannie Talley #39036213 that you posted to her memorial. Would you be a descendent or relative? Do you have any information on her at all? Was she married prior to her marriage to Monroe Talley. I would appreciate any information that you may have. Thank you. Don Ward dnwrd1@wildblue.net

Lillian Carr in Topeka
Hi, I went to Topeka today and got the location of Lillian's grave at the office. The only marker in that plot is that of her parents H.D. and Jennie. I did upload a picture of their marker showing the empty space all around it. I'm sure she is in there in an unmarked space. The lady at old Topeka Cemetery told me that soon the cemetery records would be online, so watch for that to happen!

RE: Nathan Talley, Jr.
Hi, Marsha -- I wish I could help, but I don't know anything about Nathan Talley or about Antioch Baptist Cemetery. I just looked up the cemetery on Find-a-Grave and saw that I took a few pictures there in 2005. Judging from the map, I would assume that it's a cemetery I stumbled upon when on a trip to or Starkville from Jackson. I'll try to remember to check in the State Archives to see whether there's a cemetery book for Winston County and will check it for Nathan Talley if there is.

Thank you for the info, yes I have seen the web site, but I'm not too impressed with only half a grave marker on the double and triple head stones. Everytime I request a photo from wise county I get someone who post a halpf photo. I will make a trip out there sometime a get my photos :-)

Thanks again
Eula

J.C. Stone
Wow, nice to meet you. I'm working on Virgil Jewel Stone's family info now and yes they called him "Oats" according to my grandmother who was his sister, she has since passed away and is listed on find a grave her name was Eula Faye Stone and she had a twin sister named Lula Maye Stone. Now, does J.C. stand for anything? What was his wife's wife full name including her maiden name if you know it? Was Jaime his only child? What was his birth date/ Birthplace? Do you happen to have a picture of Virgil Stone his father? Virgil Jewel stone is listed on fine a grave also. I just contacted a relative of Herman Levi Stone and she is going to send info he is also a brother of Virgil's.

Well I will end for now
Thanks ever so much
Eula
