Thank you so much! I live right next to Pleasant Gardens and am trying to document the cemetery before it is completely lost!

I think your Vannie Warren Willis's brother George is buried next to her in Pleasant Gardens.

I was just thinking of you last Sunday when we went to a singing at the Mayberry Street Church of Christ. Had a great singing there.
So far, so good. I haven't been in cemeteries much this year due to weather and so forth. Back to it soon as weather cools. You can bet I'll be on the lookout for ants!

Yes, Barnie Eugene Kelso only lived for 42 days in 1944.

BTW, the last time I went to Brown's Temple to get photos, I received a single (that's right, just one) fire ant bite on my left hand ring finger. My hand swelled so badly I had to cut off my wedding ring. I was pretty sick from the allergic reaction so my wife and I cancelled a planned trip to Virginia. After the swelling went down, I had the ring repaired at cost of $106.

|Jimbo||RE: Again Thanks|
Great to hear from you again. I still suspect the Bonners were buried at Brown's Temple. It is so close it may have been known as Lebanon in the old days or the people filling out the certificates may have put Lebanon down from not knowing the proper name for Brown's Temple.
I also found Bonner burials at the Antioch Cemetery which is a few miles from Lebanon and Brown's Temple. Again, there were unmarked burials in the area.
I didn't realize there were so many Bonners in Lincoln County until I tried to find Duncan!

Nora, This same lady is buried at a different cemetery and her Find A Grave # there is 27822276. Same name, same tombstone, different cemetery. I wonder how that happened!? June Still (47344181)

|Jimbo||Bonners at Lebanon|
I believe the Bonners, whose Find A Grave records you originated for Lebanon, may actually be at Browns Temple. I'm certain they are not at Lebanon. Browns Temple is just north of Lebanon and has only few of the burials listed. I'll try to get back and do more work there this fall.

I can send you a book if you want it. The cost is $20.00 plus a few bucks for shipping, I don't know what that is at the moment. E-mail me your address and I will do that for you. The book is nothing but information I have collected for that cemetery. I have taken thousands of photos, but, do not have them on a disk for sale. If you want any in particular, I would be glad to e-mail you a copy of the photo. I have surveyed several other Black cemeteries in the area as well. It seems like they just don't get the attention needed.

|Bonnie Goodman||RE: Thank You|
You are very welcome. It was a lot of hard work. I put together a book on that cemetery if you are interested in it. It is available at the Morgan County Archives or at Bank Street Antiques. I have listed all of the people that I can find buried on the cemetery and photographed them as well. I have added bits of info on many people like the spouse, parents and inscriptions on the headstones. Military men and women are printed in red. This book is full of good information on my favorite cemetery in Decatur.

Great. There were several who helped with this project, I input the data and Bonnie offered to post the pics. That's why in some instances you see pics taken by others and then those that Bonnie posted. My name is Peggy Towns, I just use "Jennie"

Mary Lou Frances Hicks married Curtis Common Parks on Dec 22 1904. I have her buried at Mulberry Cemetery in Lincoln Co., Tn.
You have added # 93338154, Brit Parks, as a husband. Could you please remove him as she was never married to him. His wife may have been a lady named Mary, but it is not this Mary. Also you have added 2 children, daughters, Sallie May Parks #93339005 and Florence Parks # 93339297. These are also not her children. I think they may have been the children of Brit Parks but Mary Frances is not his wife nor the mother of these two girls.
I know these facts are true because Mary Frances Hicks Parks is a first cousin of mine.
Thanks so much for your help, Jan Hardin

It's always so sad for someone so young to pass away.
I'll transfer the memorial to you so you can add anything the family may want to add at a later time.
