Daughter of Almer and Connie Letson
Just to let you know according to the Alabama County Marriage Records for Shelby Co, Alabama their daughter was Jeffie Juanita Letson born about 1926. She married William H Turner on May 14, 1945.
He was born John Thomas Horace Turner and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Foshee about 1914 in Chilton Co, Alabama. I'm researching his paternal grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Faulkner, line but thought you would like this info.

RE: Hattie Southern
I found her husband in another cemetery and also her father. I made edits and it should be accepted soon.
Don't think the stone will be around much longer and I wish I knew how to preserve it. Joy

RE: Estelle Burden Stratton
Hi Bill:

Thanks for responding & good to know you. Yes,
Mom had more siblings. I hope I am remembering all of the others as follows:

Annie Ruth Burden Snelling (Fortsonia-Elberton)
Frances Burden Johnson (Abbeville, SC)
Frank Burden (Elberton)
*Frank & Frances were twins*
Julian Burden (I believe Mom said he is buried in Metter, GA but I'm not positive it was Metter. He is buried in South GA, though)
Charlie Burden (Calhoun Falls, SC)*Mom always called him Charlie & I called him Uncle Charlie. It may be Charles officially, though??

I think this is complete.
I am trying my best to figure out how this site works exactly so thanks for the info.
I also realized I submitted Mom's birthday wrong, it is supposed to be May 10, 1920. My dad was born on May 11. I need to try to correct that.

Thanks again. Karen

Re: Pic for Bernie Burden
Bill, Today I took a pic for Bernie Burden at Brooklyn. When I up loaded the pic and checked the dates I realized they do not match. The dates on the stone are Dob Nov 9, 1887 Dob June 26, 1945. Next I checked the memorial pages and saw there is not another Bernie Burden listed.

I will be glade to remove the pic from the memorial page if you feel there is an error on my part. Please message me back and let me know what to do. I did not by the way when walking through the cemetery see another Bernie Burden

Thank you

Marty Lindsey

Carol Renfro
Bowman City Cemetery
I spent a couple of hours trying to find the grave of the person you requested, O. Burden. I did find him and some others that were requested and took photos. I just now started to add my pictures to Find-a-Grave and discovered that there are two different names for this cemetery: Bowman City Cemetery and Hillcrest Cemetery. The Hillcrest site on Find-a-Grave is well recorded and has a number of photographs, including one for O. Burden, I believe, whose name on the stone is Omar, but whose dates match. I'll probably add a couple more photos, giving a broader view after I look some more at what's there, but thought you might like to check that site as soon as you care to, so I'm letting you know about the duplication. I reported the problem, so hopefully someone can combine the two sites.

So happy you were able to find her and the bonus of her already having a picture uploaded. Feel free to request anytime as we have tons of great volunteers in this area. Maria

Bill, do you know is Eva Saint had a brother by the name of William (Will) F. Saint, he is my Father-in-Law. He's buried at Raper Cemetery in Morgan County, we were told he might be the son of Thomas & Lucinda Saint. Would appreciate any help you might give. Thanks

Mary Anderson Photo Request
Hi, the volunteers are happy to fill your photo request, however we need a burial location in order to do so. The cemetery is very huge and is not very cooperative with the volunteers from findagrave.
Can you call them and get the burial location? The number is 972 238 7111. Once you get the burial location you can message me and I can make sure it gets added and that the photo request is filled ASAP.

There was a Baby grave on the left side of Edwin's grave. There wasn't any writing on it. I didn't take a picture of it.

"NOTE: Please e-mail or call (972-238-7111) Restland for plot information BEFORE submitting a photo request."

Restland Memorial Park is an extremely large cemetery (over 125,000 interments / entombments and has over 300,000 property owners)and without the plot location it is next to impossible to find specific individual graves . I tried to get the information but they will only research the location for a family member. Sorry but anyone trying to help you get a photo of your loved one's headstone, will needs your help first. Without the plot information, your chances are probably slim to none for a photo, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

You can e-mail -
or call - (972-238-7111) Hours are from 9am-6pm CST Monday-Sunday.

Thank you and have a great day.
