I'm kin to most of the Johnson's and Johnston's in Knowles Chapel. My father was a Johnson and had kin people that was Johnston's. My Mother was a Carr but had two sister that married Johnson's. Most of them are buried in Knowles Chapel. Evie Johnson was married to my father's brother Burt.
Evie just lost her last child Carrie.

RE: Wilhelm
All I know is that I found one typewritten sheet in the cart of free material on a cart outside a few weeks ago. It caught my eye because it looked like family information (and I wanted to make sure they were on or Find A Grave and not some long lost information). I have similar typewritten pages from my own family that are transcripts from Bibles, etc. I did not see a Bible but did not ask. My assumption was that it was tucked into a piece of furniture that was donated or in one of the few books that may have been there as well (old Sunday school books, that type of thing). I'm sure it couldn't hurt to call and ask. I know I dream of finding an old family Bible full of dates I'm missing!

I know… I feel the same about some of my family… I know their lives were so difficult. I just read your bio!! I used to live in Mt. Pleasant!! We were so living so close!!! We are in NY for the time being but will end up back in NC one day. We live in Denton, NC now and will retire there. We've got to meet one day when I'm home with my family!

Margaret Belk
Hi! Thanks for the info on Margaret… yes I'm connected to her through her brother Thomas Belk… he's my 3rd great grandfather so we are of the same generation! I work on this line of my family on occasion when I hit stumbling blocks on other sections and happened to find your memorial for her! That's helping to complete another branch of Thomas's family! I bet you've met Penny Dunlap… another member of Margaret's family through Nancy's line! I'm in her Facebook group and we can connect through there!!! It's great to find more family members.. let's keep in touch! Blessings, Dana

Shulenberger cousin
Thanks for the information. I've been researching mine and my Husband's family trees for a good while. I got side tracked when my granddaughter was born, I'm getting another grandchild in February. Are you related to the Shulenbergers by blood or marriage? I always enjoy meeting "new" cousins and getting more family stories and information. As is is all a work in progress, help is more that welcome.

Helen Mishak
Thanks for putting up the photo, Janis. I'm not satisfied that I know who Helen's husband was. Public trees say he was Millard Sylvester St. Clair, but I can't find any documents to connect them.

The only hard evidence is her stone which says "Mother" and gives her married name.

Millard St. Clair is buried in Wilkes Co., 28537589, but there's no data there. Looks like a neglected grave.
