Hi Jamie,

Just wanted to thank you for the info on Carrie. Also wanted to let you know that I have added photos and linked her to her parents.
There is an obit for her dad added as well.
If these are anywhere in your tree and would like transfers just let me know.
I am not related to 99.9% of my memorials. I photograph cemeteries and add them to Find A Grave.

Thanks again,

Jens Edward Larsen
Hello -
Are you a descendent of Jens Edward Larsen?
I am related to his second wife, Hannah Christine Rasmussen. (Her sister, Margaret Martha Rasmussen Biorn is my great-grandmother.)
I visited the Larsen farm when I was about 3 years old. I think it was run by Solomon's son, Paul. I remember a couple of girls and I think we have photos of them. Any information you can share?

Minnie was a very good homemaker as her daughter Clara would tell me,(my mother in law.) Clara said in the summer time, Minnie would take all her children out into the woods to find chock cherry's for the children and her to pick so she could make jam from the cherry's that grew on a bush. Clara said she still remember's the jar she put it in and it sat on her dinner table all the time. It is called the chock cherry jar. I have it now. And it will be passed down to my children. They would all help their mother Minnie sew and iron, and hoe the corn fields for their dad. I have pictures of some of the children before they married, cleaning out the weeds from the corn row's. All the children married and left home, later in life Minnie was placed in a old folks home, where she would not get out of bed. She was ready to go home to her Lord. So when the nurse's came in and gave her, her med's. after the nurse's left, she would take the pills out of her mouth, and put them in the bottom of a planter that sat next to her bed. Just pull the plant up out of the planter, and slip the pills inside under the plant. When Clara got a lot older, I took care of her, and noticed she was not feeling very well, so called Clara's sister's girl Jesse and ask her to come out to see if she knew why Clara was not feeling very well, when she found I did give her, her med's the first thing Jesse did was look inside the planter, and sure enough, there was Clara's pills, just like her mother did, so she could die and go on home to the Lord. Clara and the rest of Minnie's daughters would sat around and tell one story after another of their homelife and them growing up with such a loving mother like Minnie, who really did like being a mother to them, and a wife also.

I made the links to his parents as requested. Are you a relative? If so, I'll transfer his memorial to you.

RE: James Madison Bacon
I've made the changes as requested. If you would like to scan the obituary and add it as a photo to his memorial, that would be great. Or if you would prefer to type it out and send to me, I would be happy to add it to his memorial. Of if you are related and would like a transfer, just let me know.

Thanks for the information.

James Madison Bacon
Memorial # 78819773 - Fall Creek Cemetery, Jarbalo, KS

You requested I change his death year from 1913 to 1917. I got this information from an old transcription of the cemetery. In checking a photo of his stone on this memorial, it appears the death year is more likely to be 1918 rather than 1917. Do you have any proof of the 1917 date. If so, I will gladly correct it. Please advise.

Guthridge update
I live in Madison County and have been recording the headstones from the local cemeteries and verifying that the data is in Find-a-grave for the Sutton cemetery and was adding them today (this is on page 13 of 31 pages that I need to add.) I went to link spouses and found that you had added them last Sunday. The only difference in data is the tombstone gives his birth year as 1908. As I don't know your source, you will have to decide which year to include there, and also link them as husband and wife. I am not related to anyone directly in this area, so am more that willing to let anyone take any memorials that follow Find-a-grave guidelines. Thank you Mr Gale Allen

I will use the delete feature and remove the two I added earlier today.

Question about Jens Larsen
I am the granddaughter of Solomon Arom Larsen, I have been told that my grandmother's name was Hanna Rasmussen Larsen Barns. Is there any way to verify this information?

James Bacon - Jarbalo
Yes. The one buried in Jarbalo is the one that was married to Nancy. She died in 1894. Adaline Bacon did not appear until 1900 census & located in the same place and with the James that was in the 1880 census. Of course, the James in Jarbalo also was buried with Nancy & Ida, who were listed on the census with him.

James Bacon - Jarbalo Cemetery
No, I am not related. I got the dates from an old transcription from the 80's. I did some checking on ancestry. I linked him to his wife, Nancy and three of his children, who are also in Jarbalo. In Leavenworth County, Kansas during the late 1800's, there was more than one James Bacon, all born in close proximity, but from different states.

There is the one I posted, who is either from Indiana or Kentucky (born abt 1835/1836 from census records). There's James F. Bacon in 1886 (born abt 1830 in New York). In 1880 there's James Bacon born abt 1827 from Michigan.By 1900 the James I listed was married to Adaline.

Hope this helps.

RE: Severe family
We live in Murrieta, CA. I will ask my mother-in-law what, if any, pictures she may have of her father's family. I'll pick her brain and write down some stories to send to you. A book is a very neat idea, I'd love to help you any way I can!
