Hi would you transfer my uncle to me for my care, I know uncles is not on the list, but I would really like to manage him for my Aunt and Cousin. I'm new to the site but am trying to manage our family as the unofficial historian. Thanks so much your time. Shawn Marie Find A Grave Memorial# 33509947 Kenneth Jess Aukerman

|callalily||Photo of Joseph Elphage Daigle|
Recently, a photo was passed to me through family members that is said to be of Uzelien Francois Daigle and his wife, Marie Augustine. In researching Uzelien's siblings, I came upon the page of his brother, Joseph Elphage, and to my surprise... the same photo that I have. The photo I was given is not an original, so I was wondering if maybe yours is, and if so, is there any writing on the back? I'm just not sure how to determine which brother the photo is of. Also, do you have any other photos of this family that you'd be willing to share? Many thanks!

Thank you so much for the photos. Henry Sullivan was my 3rd great grandfather. I never would have been able to see these if you had not been so kind. I am an Australian living in Spain and hope to one day come and visit Louisiana. Thank you again for your time and kindness.

I am very interested in some graves in Paincourtville that you've provided info on. I've tried to get photos of the graves for Ursin, Mathilde and Etienne Daigle, but have come up empty-handed. I guess I was just trying to get any info on these that I can. I appreciate any help on this that you can provide. Thank you so much.

Melane - Sorry for the late response; life sort of caught up to me!
I have often wondered about that as well, even when I'm doing my genology work. Do I list a person as being born in Baton Rouge if they were - like myself - born in Women's Hospital in B.R. - though I was raised in the small town of Maringouin. My grandfather died in a Baton Rouge hospital, but he lived all of his life in Maringouin.
I suppose, then, it's personal preference. For my friend who died in a car accident, I listed the place he died and not where he lived. For my grandfather, though, who died in a hospital, I listed his hometown.
I'm not sure what the "rules" for this would be, but you might could check the forums and see if it's come up before and how others handle it. Let me know what you find out and I'll see what I can dig up, too. Namaste.
