Lyle, I did add her parents but you can do it easier than I since you have her memorial. Thanks for all the information you have provided.

RE: George Paintner
Nice to hear from you too! And good luck with the kitchen remodel! I guess I'm surprised after all these years that no one has been able to get more info. I've been on and can't find anything there either. I thought maybe by now someone would have found out something. Have you ever had contact with any of the Paintner's that stayed behind in Buffalo? I have found a professional genealogist in Bavaria. His website is I plan on setting up a GoFundMe page to raise money to try and get this question finally answered. I have paid the initial $250 to get him started. Do you have a list of people that you have communicated with regarding this side of the family? If I could get that list, I would let them know about the fund raising and hopefully get some families on board who are interested in helping. I will also post on findagrave and if you could send me your email address that would be great. I am so excited to finally try and get this riddle solved and hope others are as well! I'm sure we'll be touch!

RE: Alexander Cambell/Marion Morrison
Hello Lyle,

Your best best to find info on a death from that time period may be to search church records, if you know what church they attended in Fullarton Township. There may be copies of the records at that archive in Stratford.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.
Best of luck in your search.

Anna Wein Paintner
FYI ...I believe there is conflicting information on Anna Wein-Paintners posting. The date of her marriage to George Paintner must be incorrect. George was no longer living in 1897, so I assume the date shown is the date of her second marriage. George Joseph Paintners posting states their marriage was in 1864.

RE: Corrections to my Memorials
Thank you, Lyle! That was a very quick response, and I'm glad you were able to get the cemeteries changed with no problems. Seems like FindAGrave could have made it a little simpler to change a cemetery, though!
Thanks again.

You are most welcome! Thank you for the prompt response. If there is anything else I can do to help, please let me know. I grew up in Fairview, so still get up there a few times a year to visit.

Lawrence & Vanus Louden Paintner

Thank you so much for posting the wedding picture of Lawrence and Vanus (Louden) Paintner! Vanus is an extended second cousin. Although I've talked with her, I've not seen this picture. Would very much appreciate additional information if you have any.

AndyBill Detwiller

I was able to get some information for you regarding Andrew William Detwiller. He is buried just to the left of his mother and father's grave in Froens Cemetery, Dunn County, Wisconsin. It is easy to make the mistake with Little Elk Creek Cemetery as they are only a little more than a mile apart. I will be happy to take photographs for you when you get things sorted out.

RE: Marion Haley Family
I think they look just fine. Now the family is complete except for Elizabeth Jane Smith. I can't remember if I asked for a link or not, but will do so.

When you add the tombstone photos, they will be even better.

RE: Marion Haley Family
I'll be glad to see what you link on FindaGrave. The Minneapolis cemetery manager was going to look up all of the Haley dates for me but he hasn't done it. I know some of them are wrong.

There are a lot of infants and they are buried in at least 3 locations. The cemetery records have them all mixed up.

I keep finding errors on FindaGrave. Some are happy to make the changes and some are not. At least I have tried.

RE: Fairview Menn. Cemetery
Follow up on Detweiler Vera and Earl are on the same stone, with baby Detweiler right next to it.

Chester and Cevilla are next to each other same style of stone, with a large marker Detweiler in the back ground it appears to be a family plot. I have photos if you want them posted.

My information indicated two seperate cemeteries
Fairview and Wearver about 3 miles apart however when I tried to verify the location of Weaver I could not

RE: Fairview Menn. Cemetery
Lyle sorry about the confusion but it should have been baby, Chester R. I missed the comma while typing.

Chester R is 1904-1993, Cevilia 1906-1994
Baby Detweiler is next to Vera 1911-1999 & Earl 1903-1989.

NO PROBLEM! You seem to know more about them than I do, that's why I transfer most of them to you. I don't know one from another and they ALL have the same names - Christian, Amos, Sarah, Elizabeth - WHATEVER! Then they also use initials (like CH Detweiler) and I can guess what they might be but I'm not going to!

If you can link them and "take care" of them, then they will be yours!
