Wow - this is a surprise. Thank you for the transfer. I very rarely ask for transfers, because I already have all my very close family placed in a memorial of my making. So, thank you very much. I will update Carl. Maybe, eventually, someone will know where his wife is - I'll just keep searching. Thank you...

OMG poor fella no nothing for him! Just a place in ground not even a marker, how did you ever find it?
I have to try to go there and leave something as I think I am related. I believe he passed thru here and he died is what happened. This is so sad.
Thanks for photo thou, happy trails.......from one Npt gal to another.

Another Civil War Veteran Buried Newport Cemetery
We spoke a few years ago in regards to Civil War Veterans buried in Newport Cemetary, Newport, WA.

In going over some Spokane Newspapers, it has been discovered that one Civil War Veteran who lived in Newport also joined the 50th Celebration in Gettysburg.

Please contact me as I believe he should be added to the Civil War Veterans buried in Newport Cemetery and the list of remembrances on Memorial Day.

Thank you,

RE: PJ Nixdorff photo, plus...
I just looked up Walter and he came from Virginia, only had a sister, and he and Aunt Amy definitely had no children. Just a coincidence, I guess.

Yes, thank you, I'd like to manage my great-grandfather's memorial. I appreciate it.

Thank you so much for photographing my great-grandfather's headstone. It's certainly appreciated.

I noticed that you said something about being the "secret" daughter of William Edward Givens? My great-aunt Amy was married to Walter Edward Givens. They mostly lived in the Walla Walla area and Walter died in 1972. I don't think they had any children. Would he be a relative of yours?

I am glad you had William's in your files. I don't know that Mildred has a marker, just thought I would check.

I find it hard to believe that someone would go to a cemetery and take pictures of markers and then be to lazy to enter birth and death dates. It is a convenience for others when looking for someone so they do not have to open every memorial. This is a very special program for people to use when doing genealogy.

William Watson
RE: Hamshar & Harold

Thank you for the transfers, and for setting up these memorials in the first place, and for taking and posting nice, clear photos of the markers. I've added the detailed birth and death information, linked Edward to Rosamund, linked her to her parents, and linked Baby David to his grandparents in his bio.

Thanks again, and very best regards,

I've just recently begun researching my husband and his brother's family history. It's been quite a tedious process since their mother was adopted and their known ancestors were all more recent immigrants from Italy and Norway. Darrick & Shannon both thank you for helping to bring together the pieces of their little known history.

Thanks for all you do.
