Martin Williams
If you look at the 1850 Tazewell Co. census, pg. 87B, Martin b.1830 was the son of John & Patsy (Ashborn) Williams also Minerva Jane b.1836. Patsy d. 1837. William Alfred b.1842 & Levi b. 1846, mother was Margaret (Smith) Williams, John's 2nd wife. I think the W. A. Williams that died in the Civil War and buried in the Bergen Cemetery could be William Alfred, the age matches.
John's TWIN BROTHER, William d.1834 was m. to Everilla (Hobson) Williams.
Both John & Patsy and William & Everilla marriages are shown in McLean Co. marriage book A, pg. 6.
John being buried in the Bergen Cemetery (Tazewell) & Mt. Pleasant (McLean) is an unresolved problem.

Thank you!
I just realized I forgot to thank you for the information and for linking Earl Wright with his parents and siblings. I appreciate it!

Daisy family information
Many years ago I received some history from Daisy that she had mailed to me. She was so helpful and without the information I would not have known that the rest of the family had moved to Illinois. I was so glad she had taken her time to help me. Thank you for the information about her death. She truly did live a long life. I would like to see all the information when you finish collecting and I would be glad to share what I have as well.
The picture of the Blackers' in their yard with grt grandchildren is from my Grandmothers album.(Hazel Caldwell/Bristow) She is one of the girls in the picture. She said Grandma Blacker smoked a corncob pipe and rocked in her favorite rocker on the front porch.

Earl J Wright
Hi Gail,
Can you tell me if Earl J Wright (Find A Grave Memorial# 136068399) is the son of Charles Arthur Wright and Minnie Pearl McCay? My grandfather is a Hinton, and I've been doing some family history work on I have handwritten notes that used to belong to my grandmother that say that he died in WWII and is laid to rest in Urbana, Ill. The memorial I referenced looks like it might be him. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Thank you. :)

William & John Williams
I hit the wrong key.
I found William & John married the same day, 5 Jan. 1832 in McLean Co. IL marriage records. You show Martin #121299275 b. 1829 in Tazewell Co. Are you sure that he is the son of William & Everilla (Hobson) Williams, not some other Williams. Esther (Jones) Williams, their mother left TN or KY with her 8 children and her parents in about 1828 after divorcing or separating from her husband, James Williams III.

RE: last name Helmer
Hi Gail;

Yes, I created a memorial for Wayne Helmer. I knew him from my church, Day Bible Chapel, in Saranac, Michigan. He was a great guy! I see his wife there from time to time, Nancy Helmer.

Since Wayne was your 5th cousin and since you know so much of his family history, perhaps you should be managing his memorial. Would you like me to transfer it to you? If so, please request that through whatever channels Find A Grave has; I haven't done much of that. Not sure how to do that.

Would you like to have me transfer George's memorial to you? I am not related and you are so obviously researching the family, I would prefer to have him in your care.

Hi Gail, A pleasure to meet you. You are very welcome. I'm thrilled that I was able to locate them for you. Would you like a transfer of their memorials. I really don't mind. They should be with their family. If not, that is alright too. Sincerely, Julie

History Lesson
Thank you for your very kind words. I feel the same way about having learned so much more about the Civil War, WWI and WWII. But it's a lot more fun than school ever was. I don't complain about the "home work" and I'm sure you don't either. ha

Graham Cemetery
I got your note about this cemetery. What a interesting story. I was there last fall and it look like it has been plowed with a tractor. It still needed a lot of work. Some stones half covered with dirt. Access to the cemetery was very easy, just on the roadside. I had no trouble with anyone.

RE: Sara Ema
She is not in this Cox Cemetery that I would know. The other family members that you listed are not members of this Cox family group. This is Cox Cemetery #3. There are two other Cox Cemetery's in Anderson County. You may wish to search these. Good luck with your search!
