Multiple Memorials
Hello Nancy,
I have a question..
I have come across several relative memorials that someone else apparently recreated that I or someone else already had. It appears that this contributor is no longer a member for whatever reason.
In some cases there are 3 memorials for the same person.
Who do I contact to have the duplicates deleted?
Thank you,
Leo Offerman

Melody Roswell
Emma and Maud Athey
I was sorry to hear of your loss, I have been in that position and know how it feels. I hope these days you are doing better.
I ran across Emma E. Cavin-Athey and Maud Athey in you photo's on this site. Although I have been researching for years on the Lochridge side of my family (which is my mother's side) I was looking through the Washington Digital Archives and found a Mattie Athey married to Oren Thomas Lochridge. Mattie had been married to Albert Guthrey Athey abt. 1887 in OR. Maud was their child according to the 1900 census of Moxee, Yakima Co. WA. Albert had a brother by the name of Edward M. Athey b. 1874 also with them in that census. I didn't think I would find much on this family and then I came across your photo of Emma and Maud in Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima, Wa. I would love to be able to put this in with their family files just so I know where Maud is at and or where she is buried. Albert must have divorced Mattie (his first wife)abt. 1901-1902 sometime. Both of them remarry to other people later on.
Thanks for posting their final resting place!

Yes, I'd be happy to take management of Vera and her husband's entries. Also, thanks for the offer of transfer. I'll have to take time to check which of my many relative you have added. I appreciate your offer and the effort you have put into Find A Grave.

RE: Roundtree
I would be pleased to have Eugene & Irene Roundtree-
I do indeed agree that information can at times be Most confusing in connecting family members.
Thank you muchly for the additional cemetery information.
As you know any info can be useful.

I was sorry to read of your loss of Bob- Wandering cemeteries can't be nearly as interesting without him -I know I have a laugh when my hubby walks besides me in the rain with his sneakers squishing on rainy days looking for that elusive someone's headstone...

Mr. Roundtree's death occurred at an Aberdeen hospital Friday. He was a native of Illinois and the Roundtree family in which there were several brothers, settled in Lewis county close to fifty years ago. During recent years Hugh had lived in Pacific Beach in Grays Harbor county. Two sons, R.C. Roundtree of Pacific Beach and Frank M. Jerry Conklin
RE: Bette Marley Aaron
This is the info that Terry has and Genealogical Society info
1901 South 12th Avenue Union Gap, WA 98903
(509) 248-1328

Her burial record does not say anything about her marital status. She is listed as Bette J. (Marley) Aaron. The only family members listed are: George, Steve Marley-sons, Mary Lou Scaman-sister, and Charlotte Wicl-sister. Keith & Keith is listed as the funeral home. Maybe the Genealogical Society has more info?

Hope this helps

RE: Francis Marley
I find it often where a husband dies first and the wife remarries and then is buried with there first husband. So I believe this is the case with this mmemorial.

RE: Francis and Bette Marley

Checking with Terri and looking at the wedding photo on the headstone they would be husband & wife, not sisters because I think the female would be spelled Frances and not Francis. I hope this clarified it.

Thank you!!
My condolences to you regarding the death of your husband.

Thank you so much for all the work you have contributed to
I just found a cousin, Billy Wayne Morrison whom I never met because of a divorce and the great distance between us. I would never have known he existed if my mother had not kept his birth announcement in her photo album.
Sadly, I did not start genealogy/family history research until my parents had already passed.

With much appreciation for all the many hours you have contributed to family research.

Best Regards,
Marilyn Cloinger Hartin

Thanks Nan! I would certainly appreciate the transfer. Elsa is the great-grandmother of my fiance. So we have lots of information about this family. By the way, I am very impressed (& inspired) by all the work that you and your late husband have contributed here.

Hugs right back to you!

RE: Donald Prull
I'm certain Donald Prull and I are related but only very distantly, and I do not know the precise connection. I think it's fine to retain his memorial on find-a-grave; no transfer necessary. Thanks.
