Linda Roth
Regarding your photo request for Linda Roth at Joshua Tree Memorial Park, and the problem reported-- I was in 29 Palms today and took a few minutes to detour to the cemetery there.

The woman in the office checked two sources of records, and found the only 'Roth' at 29 Palms is a 'William'. Linda Roth is not there.

Regards, and good luck.

Paul Nehls - Green Ridge Cem
Sorry pushed wrong button...oops!

Cemetery confirms he is indeed in Green Ridge Cemetery, but only has a cylinder marker. He is in Section: LV 1 (Lakeview 1) cylinder #844. Searched area couldn't find # marker either.

Linda Roth photo request
I claimed this request but I'm sorry I was unable to fulfill it. The cemetery staff searched their computer system and through records in books but were unable to find any record for this person in the cemetery. The ladies of the staff recommended you check the cemetery in Twentynine Palms, CA which is about 20 miles east of Joshua Tree.

Dick,
Paul's wife had a separate marker and I photographed it. She also had a memorial and I posted the photo to it as well. #79801283

RE: Stadts Burial Sites
Dick:

Thanks for the information on the STADTs(being in Petersberg).

Maybe you can help me on another two:

With the Stadt information, I have 5 of 7 at Saint Paul in "findagrave" physically buried at Petersberg- but there are two more to verify. Once done, I would like to change the name in "findagrave" from Saint Paul Luthern to Saint Paul Lutheran (Petersberg) to differentiate from Saint Paul Lutheran Sollitt.

Two remain:

NOTEBOOM, Vera M. CARSTEN (1919-2011)
WOODS, Thomas Albert (1887 1963)
Do you have a way to verify whether each of these last two are buried in Petersberg or Sollitt???

Note: I live physically in Texas, so I am at a major disadvantage!!!!

Question on Saint Paul Lutheran
My name is Dan BALGEMANN and I have ancestors buried in Saint Paul Lutheran (Petersberg).

I noticed in the KVGS website, there are two Saint Paul Lutheran Cemeteries- One called "Petersberg" (What my ancestors always called Petersberg corners east of Grant Park) and the other "Sollitt Zion" (I assume in Sollitt, IL)

You have entered Arlene KURTH STADT and Edmund STADT. Are they buried in Ptersberg or Sollitt?

RE: Thank you
Hi - I took photos for 4 other individuals nearby: their daughter [Marilynne], Lydia's parents [John & Emma Meyer], and I think a brother of Lydia's: Harold Meyer. I created memorials for all of them.

The 2 stones you see near the Nehls in the group photo are Marilynne (in front of their stone) and Harold Meyer (right of their stone).

I'd be happy to transfer these 4 memorials to you, if you like.

RE: Harold Giese
Harold's grave was located in the military section of the cemetery. If you mean, were there any other Giese family buried with him, then the answer is no--I didn't see anyone else in the vicinity.

RE: Photo of William F. Zimmerman Headstone
You can ask for control of the Zimmerman plots.
With control given by the contributor you can then add obituaries, personal stories, ect. Including showing the relationships of the Zimmerman's mother, father, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, ect.

Check out these facts at, Find A Grave. This can help lost relaties find each other.

I found the stones for James Carmody, his wife Annie and son James. But not at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, they are at St Joseph's Cemetery in Montevideo, MN.

Erica LeRose
John Dluzak
Hi Dick.

I was @ Mound Grove Cemetery (Kankakee, IL) over the weekend. Unfortunately it was after office hours so I couldn't verify any info.

I "did" locate Emma Dluzak's headstone in the section listed on Find-a-Grave (Plot: Section 19, Lot 48) - but I did NOT find a headstone for John, or any other Dluzaks, in that area.

If I get over there again when the office is open, I will see if they can tell me if he is buried elsewhere or just doesn't have a headstone.

Warm Regards,
Erica

Cindy K. Coffin
Minnie Wruck marker found
Hi Dick. My mother and I were in the Sleepy Eye area yesterday, so we went to the cemeteries there. We found Minnie Wruck's marker and the Strassburgs. I did not take photos of Otto and Hattie Strassburg's markers, as they were flat and need to be dug out or trimmed a bit (you couldn't read the names). I'll bring a trowel and some water with me next time to clean them up, and then I will take a photo. I will also look for the Dehne markers. We didn't have much time to look, so I will try again another time.
