|Wes T.||EDITS Molly Fields|
In case you were wondering, the source on those edits I have put in (mainly plot numbers) -- is the book "Our People And Where They Rest: A Visit to 104 Old Cemeteries in Eastern Oklahoma," James W. Tyner, Maxine Tyner and Alice Tyner Timmons, American Indian Institute, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. 1970-1985, (Library of Congress No. QE99-C5-T97) There wasn't a place for me to put that in the edit form.
Thanks for all your help! Best wishes.

|Dennis McLemore||RE: bud sheppard Barber Cemetery|
You are welcome. My wife has family buried in the Barber Cemetery. I don't know how much you know about the Barber Cemetery so here is a little history. The cemetery is not in its original location. When the Tenkiller Dam was constructed in the mid 1950's the resulting lake covered the original site. All old graves like the one for Bud Sheppard were moved. The old headstones were not moved. Concrete ones were made with just name and sometimes dates. There are several of the concrete stones that just have a last name. Unfortunately, some graves either did not have names or the information was lost. There are quite a few of the markers inscribed with UNKNOWN. A woman we met at the cemetery told us that her mother used to lay a flower on each unknown grave because her sister's grave became one of the UNKNOWN's during the move.

Hello. No, I'm sorry but I don't know very much about the Silvey family. I will look for some information in the family history that my husbands family has done, and I will let you know if her name is in there. It will be a few months since I am in the process of moving. Take care...Anita

Sherrie thank you, 1st there is no West Haven Cemetery in Pott, Co., Ok. There is a Rest Haven and they reported no Flossie Keith. So I looked at the records of Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee, Ok. and found Florance A. Keith, but if your sure about her not being the one, then I do not think I can help any more. SORRY

If She is their, She does not have A head stone or it could be just a rock marker.

I happened to notice that you are requesting a photo from this cemetery. I came across information from 2001 about the cemetery that I thought you might find interesting. Especially the directions on how to get there.

Next to R P Perry's stone is a rock, with the name painted on and badly faded. The surname is Perry and the first letter of the given name appears to be L. It could be Lesa - or some other four letter name beginning with L.
I enjoyed visiting Clifty Cemetery, and will be happy to fill all the find-a-grave requests you make for that site.

No, I am not related to the Walkers in Arkansas. I just happened to find their graves on here while browsing & decided to leave some virtual flowers. Thanks for your note :)
