|runner9||Cleveland Calvary Request|
Just a friendly mid June reminder that we need plot info to fill your Cleveland Calvary request(s). We have less than 500 requests left but plot info for only 6% of those, having already filled the rest with plot info. We can't ask for plot info for more than 3 requests per week. Please call (216) 641-7575 and obtain plot info. We'd really appreciate it and will fill your request(s) soon after getting plot info. Thank you!

Just FYI that we've cleared nearly 100 requests in the past week. Plot information is essential, a plot map increases the odds significantly. We cannot obtain plot info, the office will not allow it. Please call and obtain. Thanks!

|runner9||Calvary: Section 65 Request|
Several of us are actively working to clear the 759 request at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland. You have a request (or more) with plot information, however we don't have a map for that part of the section. With thousands of graves per section (400,000 total on 300 acres) a section map is basically required to find a grave.
The office at Calvary is very restrictive with information. If you could please call them at (216) 641-7575 and tell them you have a relative buried in the specific section and that you're coming when they're closed (weekend, holiday, etc) they should agree to mail you a plot map. If you get one please let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address.
Each time I go I have to skip the requests with plot info that I don't have a map for, yours is one of them.

I am certain he is buried at St. Paul's Euclid. He worked for the railroad and was at Grdina Funeral Home on St. Clair, which are all local to the cemetery.

Yes, where Maple Grove is located is a good, safe neigbhorhood. There really is not a whole lot to do in that neighborhood, just visit the cemetery and stay maybe in Manhattan? Whatever you do, I am sure it will be a lot of fun and educational, especially at Ellis Island.

|Cristina||RE: Thank You for Anna Balko Photo|
You are very welcome, Katie. I am really happy that you finally found her, too. Maple Grove Cemetery is divided into sections and that particular part of South Border has a lot of old headstones. It has happened before where I look for someone who died a long time ago and there is no marker, but I always take pictures of the area. In addition, I took some pictures of the headstones in Anna's area and I will e-mail them to you later. It may help to know who her neighorbors are because they have the lot number on the stone so they are easier to find (they are good as a point of reference). They are all in the 70s and I think the closest one I saw that had a headstone was 77. I don't have the pictures in the computer that I am writing from, but I will send them to you tonight. And whenever you take your trip, I hope you have a nice time. Have you been to NYC before?

I just posted the pictures for Anna Balko in Mape Grove Cemetery. Unfortunately, there is no headstone for Anna. I saw headstones for Lot 77A and Lot 80. This particular area has a lot of old stones and not all of the numbers are represented. Also, there is a lot of open space around the headstones that are up, so presumabley, Anna is buried in one of those spaces. I posted some pictures of the area so that you get an idea of what it looks like. I hope this helps.

I am unable to remove the photo, only the moderator can do it on a cemetery. I will ask them to do so.

Hi ~ I've been linking family relationships but not quite sure of the letters having slashes between them in his bio. I'm sorry to impose upon you for these but would be grateful for clarification so I may continue on with this purpose...Thank you again for their transfers.

|Rain Brings Rainbows||RE: Hamblin and Fuller Families|
Katie ~ since you are not related, will you consider transferring the care of the following:
Emily Hamblin Fuller #55605869
James Fuller #55872952
My maternal grandmother's maiden name: Hamblin
I have taken photos of entire markers for 6 cemeteries no relationship to any but I am beginning to create memorials for each not already posted, if posted with no photo, it will be added from my collection...with the hope family members will request transfer...so I understand and appreciate what you are doing!

Are you related to either of these family surnames? I am interested to know. Thank you for all you have assisted so many as families are linked from generation to generation!

|rdhdmomx4||Calvary Cemetery Cleveland, OH Photo Request|
Dear Find a Grave Member, I just wanted to let you know that Calvary Cemetery is a huge one with at least 300,000 graves in it. It is impossible to find a grave marker their without a Section, lot, and grave number. The cemetery staff is also very reluctant to give that information to a nonfamily member. If you would like someone to find your loved ones marker it would be very helpful if you could call the cemetery at 216-641-7575 and get a plot description. Have a great day!

I was able to find the section and row, but it appears that the grave is unmarked. I added a photo of the row to his memorial page.

|Mary Jo C. Martin||G'day|
I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed reading your bio. It's how I feel about things, too.
You live in a beautiful state. My sister went to school in Athens, and we visited Cleveland last month so my son could see his beloved Indians at home.
Thanks for the token you left on my brother's memorial. It is much appreciated. I showed Find A Grave to my mom when I was visiting last month, and she was astounded at all the lovely things people had said about her beloved son. It was a good moment for us to share.

If you call the cemetery at 216-641-7575 they will give you the burial info. This is a huge 100,000 graves cemetery. Without the plot info it will be impossible to find.
Where abouts do you live in Ohio? I am about 45 minutes west of Cleveland. Mom of 4 as well and going to be 46 next month.
Let me know if you get your info and I will add it to my list.I hope to go there soon.

|Marsha Smith||You are welcome|
You are most welcome. The cemetery is very nice and laid out so that it was easy to find once we had the section and lot number. If there is anything else we can do, just let us know.
