Permission to use photos
Hi Ginny,
I have come across several of your photos of Burch family members on Find a Grave, and I would like your permission to include them on my family tree. The graves are located in Green Hills Cemetery in Dryden. Thank you for your consideration. Regards, Gwen Lougy,

Enos Peck Moseley
Ginny, my memorial turns out to be a duplicate. So don't bother to take a photo of Enos' headstone. However, I am asking for a number of other Moseley folks in Willow Glen Cemetery. I am removing the photo request for Enos Moseley. Thanks.

Terry Chaplin
Grave of Sylvester Chaplin
Hi, I noticed your name on photos taken at the Harford Cemetery in Cortland County. Was wondering if you ever get back there to look for Sylvester Chaplin in the Harford Cemetery, he died sometime after 1880 and before 1900.

RE: Betsey Short
Thank you for the reply. I'm sorry for the confusion. The day I visited the page the image wasn't showing up. I see it there now. Thank you so much for sharing it. :)

RE: Phebe Blackman
I am not sure who her parents are. I have found that some family trees have her as a daughter of Simeon and some have her as the daughter of Cornelius. I didn't see that you have that she may have been a second wife of Wm G Blackman. Perhaps that is where the confusion may be? As in the 1850 Phebe is listed as his wife, but she has a birth of 1820. And an International marriage index taken from a family sheet states they married 1849 and that she was born 1818 hmmmm...perhaps I spoke to soon.

Photos from Willoe Glen cemetery
Thank you so very much for fulfilling my requests for photos from Willow Glen Cemetery. The photos are wonderful. You have saved me considerable time and expense if I were to have traveled to Dryden to take the photos myself.

Thanks again!

RE: Determine Birth Date from Headstonw
I don't see anyone doing the Spencer area and since there are quite a few requests I might as well do them. If you can find out who has the records and maps, that would help very much. Just finished the Kings Cemetery today, I took 606 photos, which is all of the old section and a portion of the new section also. Quite a job. Photos get uploaded to the Tompkins Gen website folks I am working with.

RE: Determine Birth Date from Headstonw

Of course you can add me to the list. Have you seen all the requests for the West Genoa Cemetery and the Evergreen Cemetery in Specer? If I can find out who has the records for both, I wouldn't mind going and taking the photos, but with so many, I don't want to just go there and keep on looking and missing a lot. I have sent emails to a couple of people who might know, but no answer as yet.

Determine Birth Date from Headstonw

I found this website that works quite well when the birth date is unknown but the age at death is listed. You just enter what is on the headstone and it will convert it to a birth date.

You wouldn't also have Lucius Keith & His wife Esther would you? As well as some of the other Keith's?

RE: Martha Keith
My fiance's Grandfather was Donald LeRoy Rightmire Keith, born Claude Oscar Keith, then adopted by the Rightmire family when he was 3 months old. He later in life went back to the Keith Surname. I do have his tree on Ancestry. I have a long way to go as I just started it but it is growing everyday! Thank you again for posting the headstone.

Terrific photos of the Speed monument!
Thanks so much for the careful photos you took of the speed monument, e.g., here. I never would have known they shared a common monument.

My great great-grandfather, Elizabeth Spencer Speed's grand nephew, has a similar monument for eight people: himself, his wife, and eight of his children. (two to a side.) It's here. (Its point has been broken off.) It badly needs cleaning and repair.

Thanks again,
- Dorsey
