RE: James Glenn Hawks
Don is buried in Knollkreg Memorial Cemetary in Abindgdon,VA. I don't know if you have an ancestry.com account, but if you do, you are more than welcome to take a look at my tree there. It's public. If you have trouble viewing it (apparently I have two accounts, one without a tree), I can invite you to the tree as a contributor, but I'd need your email address for that. If you are willing to share it, you can email it to me on facebook, or you can send me an email at my personal email account: hbenton_20@msn.com. I have several photos fromDon's funeral attached to him in my tree on ancestry. I've speaking with Beatrice off and on over the past month, and she sent me quite a few pictures a couple ofweeks ago. There is even one of you. :)

James Glenn Hawks
Hi, Paul. I am hoping you can help me out with a little information. I need to confirm that James Glenn Hawks had a brother named Donald Ross Hawks. Their mother's name was Lillie May Hawks. And as far as I know, her husband's name was Jack Hawks. Donald is my mother's father. I have been trying to trace this side of the family tree for years and have hit one dead end after another. Great-granny Hawks (Lillie) once told me her parents names were William Allen Williams and Rosetta Shackleford. This is as far back as I have been able to get. If these people are part of your family, too, I would really appreciate hearing from you so I can maybe fill in some of these blanks. I know also that Lillie had a sister named Carolyn. There were some residences in Kentucky, Virginia, California, and Washington state. Any help you could offer would greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Much obliged,

Holly Benton

Thank you so much for the photo's of the McQuinn's. You did such a Great Job showing where they are since they do not have a Marker. I tried to put the pictures on there Memorial's myself , but I do not know how to do the Pixel size that they want. Could you put them up for me or if you could tell me how to make the picture smaller . Photos of Harwell headstones
Hi Paul,
Wow, you have really made my day - or maybe even my month! I had been led to believe that Minnie Harwell did not have a headstone & was about to take up a collection of interested relatives to get her one - but now I don't have to. Thanks so much for taking photos of Minnie and her brother Harris' headstones - they are excellent photos and being able to see both headstones means a lot to me & other relatives. Thanks a million for your help!

Problem with Charlie F Pettigrew Grave
Paul:

I received a notice today that you reported that you were unable to find the grave for Charlie Freeman Pettigrew at the Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery in Burleson, Johnson County, TX.

Other than the Tarrant County, TX Death Certificate for Charlie, I have no other information to help locate his grave. I did post the document to his memorial but I see nothing on it to help, other than the fact that his body was removed to that cemetery on 24 Feb 1960.

I think that there could well never have been a marker placed on the grave and have noted in his memorial that there is no marker.

Thanks very much for taking the time to attempt to locate the grave.

Paul,
Let me explane what happen on this photo. I recieved a photo request and went to the page to claim but discovered nothing there. I told Tommye about it and she said she would go check it out and in the mean time I told her I would take the photo. She then got it fixed and you claimed it before I could get to it. You may take credit if you want and I can remove my photo
