William and Marie Lord
I just realized that you added the photos of the markers for William Lord (#22309384) and Marie Lord (#22307399). Thank you so much and I am sorry it took me so long to say "thank you".

RE: Velda and Dorothy Snyder
One of the worst things to happen for me was RAOGK closing. I wonder if you would be willing to help me figure out. My great-grand uncle Willis Snyder was born in 1905 and got married under the radar we guess his family believes it might have occurred in Chicago. Is there a way for you to check and see if there is a marriage for him there. I would guess it would be between 1920 and 1933 as he then gets married to his second wife in DeKalb County, Indiana.

Velma's maiden name was Huntington she was the sister of a lady that I grew up with in church.

These are two of his wives could I also get them transferred to me. Velda's maiden name is incorrect and I have her full dates.

Raymond Snyder
Raymond is at Clarendon Hills Cemetery, he is a member of my family if he is not related to you would you transfer ownership of his memorial so I can update the information you started and connect him with his other family members.

My find a grave code is #47300183 if you are able and willing to make the transfer.

Thank you

RE: Transfer complete!
OK thanks. Please don't make a trip for that. I will be coming to Chicago this fall and will check myself.

RE: Transfer complete!
Not to worry. I thank you for your consideration. May I ask you a question about the headstone? It appears to have Adolph and his wife Eva's names on one side and then daughter Ruth and her husband Herbert Miller on the other (though there is no date of death for Ruth. Does that jibe with what you saw? THanks.

Memorials for Adolphus, Eva and Ruth King
Hi Stacey. These folks are in my family tree and I have a good deal of additional data for them. Would you consent to adding it if I sent it to you? aAso wondered if you were perhaps related to them too?

Anderson/Foster/Matsie in Mount Emblem
Thank you so much, Stacey, for the marker photos of Robert & Bertha Foster, Gladys Matsie, and Harry & Nora Anderson from Mount Emblem. I really appreciate that you saw Harry Anderson, took a photo, created his memorial and then transferred him over to me. I'd been looking for him for a while and didn't even have his first name, much less his birth or death dates.

RE: Wright graves
The photos I posted were taken some time ago and I hadn't found the time to add them. I will be going out to the cemetery in the next couple of days to finish taking photos of all the graves of the Wright family.

RE: John Geshner
Dear Stacey,
Thank you so much for taking the time to both research and tromp around looking. You did find the section and lot number info that I didn't know before and that's a big bonus to me. Having tromped around in a couple of "old sections" myself, I know how frustrating it is to try to find a specific gravemarker and in some cases it's just futile so I doubly thank you for going that far and apologize to you too. Actually, the idea that perhaps my gr grandfather has no grave marker is almost just as interesting. It would fit the profile that his second wife and grown children abandoned him in the hospital in Chicago and ran for their lives. Apparently he was a mean drunk and on at least one occasion had chased my grandmother around the dining table with a butcher knife when he lived with his children in Chicago where they allowed him to have the basement apartment. It has taken years to piece together the family going back to him and beyond partly for that reason. If he had had a marker, it would no doubt have been more of a testiment to the kindness of strangers. It would have been nice to have but the information you provide is just as useful in retrospect. Thank you for your efforts. What you have done is also a testiment to your own kindness and generosity. -Phyllis

Nora Johnson
Thank you so very much Stacey.
This means a lot to me.
All the rest of the Johnsons are in Mount Greenwood Cemetery. For some reason my
Aunt Nora is in Beverly Cemetery.
She is my Mother's sister. My brother and I spent many Sundays with her and my aunt Allegra.
They were both very loving aunts.

I was reviewing my pictures and I noticed Albert years on his headstone are different then his obit that I have. Could there be 2 Alberts buried @ Mnt. Emblem? I have 1874-1948 and the headstone shows 1874-1963. Just wondering. :o)
