Charles Pope dates
My father's stone is correct but the dates listed are incorrect (1937-1958). These dates are from my brother's marker. Dad's dates are 1903-1969.

You are very welcome for the photo. I am always surprised at how many graves don't have markers and without your brother I wouldn't have a clue where to look. His knowledge of Crown Hill is amazing.

Oh my goodness! I can't believe their home is still standing - that is amazing. I accidentally came across your blog---wow! Great job! I love it. (I'm so sorry for the tardy reply; my eldest is about to turn 15 and decided she needed a new bedroom, so we've been painting and everything else.) I know what you mean about wanting photos... Photos mean so much. I hope you find the ones you need. Keep in touch. It's been nice meeting family and you may see me on your blog from time to time. :)

RE: Charlotte Watermann Pope
Yes, Charlotte is my 3x great grandmother on my mom's side. I was happy to discover that we can sponsor memorials. As time and money permit, I will sponsor more.

Thank you, Terri, for all your contributions and the time and commitment you've been putting into this website.

...and it's nice to meet family! ;)

RE: Louis H. Haack Memorial #49876167
Hi Terri! Well I am glad to meet you. I wanted to know about that picture because my husband and his cousin Carol look identical to Louis and Veda. We all kid them saying they have been reincarnated. Thank you, I appreciate all you help and look forward to talking with you.

You have a picture of Louis that I have also. Can you tell me who the woman is? Louis is my husband Todd's Great Uncle. Louis's brother was Herman Haack. Herman's son was Stanley Haack Sr. Thank you for the information!

They are distant relations of my husband. I'm always irritated when people don't follow the rules. I think it would be appropriate for you to contact Find A Grave. They can intervene.

John Curtice 1825-1902
Terri,
John Curtice is my wife's great grandfather. We are trying to trace her line back from him with little success. You posted a picture of him on Find-a-Grave. Can you please tell us where you got the photo? It may give us a hint to find additional relatives.
Thanks,
Bob Berry

THE GRAVESTONE ALSO SHOWS HIS WIFE, SIMONE LAURA ALBERTS. I DON'T SEE A MEMORIAL FOR HER. YOU HAVE ENOUGH DATA ON HER TO CREATE A MEMORIAL. I CAN POST THE GRAVESTONE PHOTO TO HER MEMORIAL IF YOU WANT TO SET ONE UP.

Hello, My Albert Alberts is a different one than yours. Mine was born in 1914 and died in 2002. He did have a sister Etta, however, she is my grandma and married a Haussler.

how nice!
Hi, Terri, so, in a way we are related? Nice to read you! I will try to get informations about Anton's parents. Do you perhaps know anything about my great uncle? I am writing a book about him and his brother who was a jesuit and missionaire at the Mission of St. Francis, South Dakota. Perhaps you know how Henrietta and Anton got to know each other? And when they married? I'd be very thankful for any information!
Greetings from Austria!

Philip Everhart
Buss- Bunge-Watermann-Scippmann
Hey Terri:

My name is Philip Everhart. I am planning to be driving from Denver to Blue Hill, NE, to spend next Thursday night. I plan to visit at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery to visit my great-grandfather's grave, Jacob Janssen Buss. His daughter, Mary W. BUSS Uhrig, was my grandmother. I'm from SC and would so like to have the opportunity to speak with some relative or relatives while spending the night there. Do you know of anyone of the Buss family in Blue Hill who might be willing to speak with me and who would be knowledgeable of the family? I have been involved in genealogy for a few years and would sincerely appreciate any assistance.

I am also interested in the Bunge, the Watermann and the Schippmann line.

Thank you,
Philip M. Everhart

Richard Searles
RE: Oleslager vs Olischlager
Hi Terri;

We have been in Loveland since 1991, and before that it was Colorado Springs.

Most of my ancestry research recently has been tracking my wife's Swedish & Norwegian ancestry. Last June we took our daughter & granddaughter to Europe to meet the German, Swedish & Norwegian relatives. That is the high point in ancestry research, to go back to the old countries and meet the family, than walk where your ancestors walked so long ago.

Best Regards ..... Rick
