RE: Brewer / Thompson / Nusbaum
I try to document all Civil War soldiers graves I find. I was touched by his story and felt compelled to post his memorial in hopes that some family would benefit from it. He is buried in Daughtery Cemetery in Dade Co. Missouri. I took this picture earlier this year. A brief bio is included with the memorial. Some of his family are buried in Pennsboro Cemetery south of Greenfield Missouri in Dade Co. I hope this helps and contact me if I can do more...thanks...Kevin

I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure his name was Thompson. He is listed in Fairlawn's computer records and in the old original records as Mason Thompson. I think the person that made the metal marker was either mistaken or shortened it to Thomas because Thompson wouldn't fit.

I did not know if she remarried. It took me years to convince people that Bertha M and Mable Beatrice were NOT one and the same. Will let you know if I find anything out. Sorry I messed the first message up.

RE: Charles Mishak photo request
She may be the one who initially reported the problems on the cemetery request list. There were several on the list that someone attempted to locate, but it appears they gave up. I've had 8 requests sent to me there in the past week, however, there are easily more than 50 requests on the list that remain open. I plan to be over that way tomorrow and will take a look.

Charles Mishak photo request
I'm in Cabarrus county NC and will attempt to locate gravesite. Apparently other volunteers have had trouble out there at Carolina Memorial getting site locations as they will no longer give out info to non family members due to privacy. I'm new at this but am willing to give it a good effort. If you happen to have a site location by chance, it would be helpful. I'm sure most requesters won't but you never know. You seem very knowledgeable according to your profile.

Thomas Winchell
Do you have any info on Thomas Claiborne Winchell adopted by Jesse & Etta Winchell in 1904? Arlie Pounds Jones Anderson was living with them in 1925 after the death of her husband. Elmer & Ilmeda Jones adopted Arlie & her twin. Trying to find Thomas' birth parents.

Elva S Stinson
Wayne, I added Stinson To Elva's name. The 1910 Census shows her name as Elva S Stinson. The census shows her as 16 and her twin brother, Alva B Stinson, as twelve. The B in Alva B stands for nothing. I don't know if Elva's S stands for anything. Too funny.
Trina Booth--Alva is part of my family

Dear FriendI wonder if by chance you would have gathered an obit on her husband, Marvin Cooper Orrel (or Orrell), d. Savannah 14 Jan 1988.I've searched for hours on the web and in the databases and can't find him. Yet she gets such a long obit in the Savannah paper.

sorry didn't post her husband. 1988 is close to the cut off for when newspapers started keeping online info.

I do not recall hearing the story. I am going to try to locate the caretaker of the cemetery for a list. There was no name or phone numbers at the cemetery. I will try again in a few weeks. It was hot out there even at 10 a.m. and the stickers were terrible. It took 15 minutes to get them out of my shoe laces before I could get in the car.
