Harry Von Tilzer
Hello Tom.

I just want to let you know how much I appreciate the pictures and info about Harry Von Tilzer. He composed many of my favourite songs. While researching his life, I came across some rare old video footage where he describes the writing of a popular song to the audience. I thought you might be interested in this link.

Again, thank you so much for this wonderful information.

-Leah

Tom

So good to hear back from you! I am just beginning to work on the Kiger/Mitchell side. The Martin side has been exhausting! ha. And I have over 1200 hits on hints right now, very overwhelming. Some of them are false since folks will grab a name without being sure it is a for sure thing. Sigh....so I have to ferret through it all. Great to hear from you. Maybe one day we can get our fringe family's together for a reunion.

All the best...Jan

Aunt Rene
Hi Tom

I just had a warm moment when I saw the pic of Aunt Rene and Uncle Tom. TY for sharing it. I am the granddaughter of Faye Mitchell Kiger and Rene's great niece. I remember her well, all those cookies and tea she gave us in Ogburn Station. I am working on our tree and appreciate all your hard work as well. All the best...Jan

Thank you for getting back to me. You're correct. Please use the original spelling as "Mini"...This is likely the way it was spelled....

We appreciate your help.

Doc Bushong's Stone Photo
Hi Tom,

Thanks again for taking the great photo of Doc Bushong's and his family's tombstone.

Would it be OK if I used the photo for a web article I'm writing about him?

Sincerly,
Rick

Hi,
I've just added Harry's wife Ida (#118199715) to findagrave. I see her headstone in your picture on Harry's page (Harry #47039796), would you mind copying and adding the photo to Ida's page?

Thanks, tony

RE: Anna May Anderson
Thanks for the reply. I was looking specifically for information on Anna May Anderson, but it turns out that she is not the family member I'm looking for. St. Michael's cemetery doesn't respond to emails :(

Thanks anyway.

Do you still have the picture of her gravestone from St. Michaels? Or any other Andersons? My mother's family is buried there and we have no information other than names and which cemetery!

Fantastic!!!!

I have memorials for both Chas and Marion C. Nasta - I did not create photo requests for them but I will now so you can get credit!

1) Yes, please

2) I really do like this seeing the general area, specifically for the reason that you mentioned

RE: St Michael Cemetery
Tom,
Let me give you a little more info.
It is actually - hopefully - 1 memorial with both a father and son with the same name. No matter wether you get a memorial photo or a photo of where the plot is with no stone, I have 2 memorials where I want the photo to go.
The first one is for Find A Grave Memorial# 101502823 - for George Hammond
The second one is for Find A Grave Memorial# 101806946 - also for a George Hammond
If there happens to be a stone and there are other names on it, I can add memorials for those and then you can add the photo there.

I am just so happy that you can get the photo that I am really OK with waiting.
Take care, Gail

RE: St Michael Cemetery
The time frame is no issue. I am a patient person (or I try to be :)

The name is George Hammond and the plot location is Plot: Lot 6710, Section 9. If there is no stone, do you mind taking a photo of the area where the plot would be?

Thanks,
Gail

RE: Anna Speer
This is the information I have. I'm assuming that she was born between 1836 and 1838 because she was 30 years old when she died from hydrothorax (she had been ill with it for ten months). Her husband was August Franz Speer. I got this information from her husband's pension record and believe that's where it said she was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery. I don't have any other information for her.

Annie Starr resting in Baron Hirsch Cemetery
I believe Annie Starr, a Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire victim, may be an ancestor of mine. I am hoping that information on her tombstone will help me solve this mystery. I would be most appreciative if someone could take a photo or post the information found on her tombstone, but I fear that it is most likely overgrown with thickets and vines. Still I am hopeful that someone has information they can share with me. Thank you. LM
