Prairie City Cemetery Info
Hello,
I'm looking for some people that I think may have been interred at Prairie City Cemetery, but there are no records. I noticed that you have posted many photographs from this cemetery. Are you able to check a reference for all interments there? I would like to find records for John Crawford (d. 1834) and for Sarah Ann Park (d. 1887). There is a grave marker for Sarah in Kansas, but I believe the marker was placed as a memorial and may not be her actual grave. All evidence points to the probability that she was still living in McDonough County at the time of her death, and the rest of her family is buried in Prairie City. Thanks for any info... or perhaps a point in the right direction! :-)

Double photo
Hi there, you are probably unaware that you accidently posted a photo twice on memorial 31268305. Would you be willing to remove one? Thanks so much for all that you do for findagrave!

RE: Maude Totsch
Thanks much, I will check the memorial later after you are finished. Yes, it is true dates on tombstones are not always correct. I am glad you are going to check the spelling of "Totsch".

RE: Maude Totsch
#26410355, Maude was born in 1886, Feb. 12, please see the date on the tombstone. Her daughters are Vemke or Vemka b. 1905 (now Vemka Beebe see the Mounds cemetery), Nora b. about 1904 nothing is known about her and Elvarie Rittenhouse # 94723190. Elvarie was raised by Andy and Sena Henrichs buried in the Friedhof cemetery and my aunt and uncle. I have been trying to locate Maude and Peter Totsch. I will contact the person who developed Elvarie's memorial and see how they want to accommodate both her biological parents and the people who raised her. Sena and Andy had no children and loved her. The "Cemeteries of Brown county, ILL 1825-1972 pub. in 1975 on p. 291 gives Maude's birth date as 1886.

RE: Edits
Hi cj. I'm sure we can recheck them if we want or just accept their correction. It's especially easy if they're just adding a plot. Nothing to check there...just have to take their word for it.

If you have edits for a memorial somebody else has set up, just go to edit for that memorial and you'll see which changes you're allowed to make. I think at this time we can just change names, dates, locations of birth and death and burial plots.

Hope that clears it up for you. If you need anything else please just ask.

Happy New Year!
Jeanette

Edits
Just wondering if you were aware that we Find A Grave contributors now have edits of our memorials posted by other contributors and listed on our profile page that we are to approve, ignore or decline. The reason I ask is that I have at least one sent to you that hasn't been acted upon and I myself wasn't aware of this change until there were 37 of them on my profile!

Blessings,
Jeanette

RE: Photo Request
Thank you so much for the offer to help. I was just so excited to find that the graves were there that I forgot what time of year it is. The only photo on Find A Grave was the one of the cemetery.
We have looked for these graves for a long time and especially Jedediah. Was happy to find there were five family members there.
We're in Boise, Idaho and we also have snow.
Thanks for the offer and hope you have a great Christmas.

Clyde D. Bowen #33684115
I was researching the Bowen family and found that you had entered the info for Clyde D. Bowen. Thank you! In reading through all that you had written, I noticed that you indicated his father was "Camper". His father's name was Casper Bowen - I think it was just a typo, but would be nice if you could perhaps correct it. Thank you again.
