I will be using your picture of George and Hazel Schroeder from the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, Whiteside County, Illinois and placing it in our Family tree.
George Schroeder #39453667. I will of course give you credit for the photograph and link the Find A Grave site to his page.
Also George and Hazel were married January 29, 1929 in Morrison, Illinois.

|Kay Knobeloch||Gladys (Bever) Bramblett -- Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon IN|
Gladys is listed under both of her married names in a cemetery index. Thank you for alerting me to the duplicate; I have deleted it.
I checked the burial records and she was interred in the same plot as her first husband, Edward Bramblett. Her second husband was Paul E. Dale (#61395562). They were married 23 Feb 1974 in Boone County, Indiana. I have linked his memorial page to Gladys's as well.

Thank you for letting me know this...I've gotten a few of these and was wondering why there wasn't anything on there to change. I guess it still goes through even though it was cancelled. Have a great day !!!

My pleasure. I did a little more digging and found a rather lengthy obit on page 3 of the Oct. 6th, 1914 Corpus newspaper that includes a little more info on your 2nd great grandfather's life and career in Corpus and it lists the names of various family members. You can find the paper on the library of congress website at
Unfortunately the website is missing the newspaper the day he died and the day after, which might have included more info and maybe a different photo.
I'm originally from Corpus and in addition to researching my family history in Corpus, I've started to research Corpus history and its early prominent and pioneering citizens. I plan to add your 2nd great grandfather to an Ancestry.com public tree I've created on Corpus Christi (http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/74397447/family). If I come across any more info I'll let you know if you are interested.

I'm not sure if you already have the info, but I came across a photo and bio from the 1915 Corpus Christi High School yearbook for your 2nd great grandfather and uploaded them to his memorial page.

Thank you for your edit requests for the Grubbs family. Please provide official sources that show Anna as their mother (all sources I've seen say that their mother is Elizabeth "Lizzie" P Grubbs) & William's marriage record has him marrying a "Lizzie Coleman". Thank you

I hope you can help me. I have tried in vain to locate this cemetery several times. Can I go over your directions with you sometime? I'm sure there is an error there somewhere or else I'm just not getting it right.
Also, if it's on someones farm, do you know who? I'd like to get permission to visit.

Thank you so much for your time and effort. I have been searching for years for any information about my uncles Eugene, Theodore and Carl Charnoski. I was very touched to find the photos you took. I only hope it helps to lead me to my "lost" relatives.
Thanks so much.

Got all transfers made. You missed little Lanie May, but I made the transfer. Been nice coordinating all the family photo's/data, etc. I enjoyed doing the research. I wish you the best in your future research and Find A Grave efforts. I'm going to try attaching the McEwan burial card to an email & hope it comes out okay. Thanks again.

I'm disappointed-Figured you wouldn't trf, but not for reason you gave. How distance is your relationship? During research I note different/similar names, such as McEwen. Note you don't have James middle name or country of origin & names of other 6 children bur on the lot. Just coming back at you to see if you made a mistake and/or will reconsider. Let me know decision & we'll go from there. I est memorials on the other 6 children.

I'm working w/Paris Cem super on a project to locate/photo grave stones of all past supers of the cemetery for historical purposes. The super has personal/history info on James McEwan who was an early planer & super of the cemetery. I note you have est. memorials on James & 3 of his family. Under my management I can input all of his data & link his family-He has other members buried on his lot. I appreciate your favorable consideration for the transfers and it would be most gracious of you. I will make formal requests thru the "Edit" process. Thanks.

Where is a time capsule when we need one? Depending on the time you were there, it was probably my cousin, Harvey True, that you talked to. Until I got involved in this cemetery project, I knew nothing about the cemetery there. I talked to him a few times about our family history. Now, I'm wishing I could ask him about the cemetery.

Just a note about your description of this cemetery. We have talked to several locals and we have come to the conclusion that it is incorrect that the pond was built over the cemetery. Although the stones were actually pushed away and up against a tree for the most part, the cemetery was actually located up the hill from the pond. Would you consider changing the description to, at least, delete the part about being under the pond?
p.s. When we were there, we were able to locate a couple more stones.

You are more than welcome. We are really enjoying the work we are doing with the Scott County Cemetery Project. This has been an interest of mine for a long time. With this project it has really found a purpose. I believe this cemetery does get cleaned out fairly often. However, when we were there it had really grown up with weeds.
