RE: Mary McConnell
The gravestone picture posted to her memorial does not have any birth and death locations that I can see. If you have another picture showing that she was born and died in Macon County or some other source showing same, please send, otherwise, I'll be declining the edit. LG

Summer
Carroll Tree
Hi there! I suppose it's safe to say that we might be related. William Hardy Carroll (a grave site you posted) is my great-great-great-great grandfather. William Henry Carroll, Jr. (which I just learned is a junior) is my great-grandfather's father, Clarance Odell Carroll. Whom I had the honor of knowing for 9 years of my life.

I have been trying to research our Cherokee and Irish heritage as I was told from a young age that my papaw's mother was full-blood Cherokee (this would be Etta Belle Allen Carroll) and that his father came to the US when he was 6 years old, however apparently from these records that is untrue, even of John Carroll. So, I am wondering if you have any information on this?

Thank you!

Summer

RE: Carrie Belle Brooks Wall
Carrie is my Great Grandmother and I have a great deal of information concerning her family. Not sure what you are asking for... maybe we should talk off site.

RE: Carrie Belle Brooks Wall
Margaret McIntyre is the only name I have. All I am certain about, is that Carrie's mother died when she was 8 years old and living with her father in Freestone, Texas.

Thanks for the kind offer, however they are very distant relatives and I don't think I have anything else to contribute to their memorials.

Your message re Luranie Carroll
I received your message regarding my memorial to Luranie Carroll at North End Cemetery Brooks County, Georgia. Before I add a note that Willis Carroll was her husband please let me know your source for that information. Thus far I cannot find any information in that regard. Neither can I find additional information regarding Luranie except her death as documented in the Georgia Death Index and the Social Security Death Index. Neither of those mention a spouse or maiden name.
Regards
Ed

P.S. Sorry about the first attempt to post this message. Tried to type it too fast.

Mary Elizabeth Renfroe Carroll
Hi Charles:
My great grandparents were Timothy Carroll and Mary Elizabeth Renfroe Carroll from Quitman, Ga.
My Great Aunt was Ruth W. Carroll Williamson. I notice she had a full brother, Simeon as well as
a half brother Ola. I do not see anything about my grandmother, Virgie Mae Renfroe, who married Sam Jones Fann. Do you know how she is related to the Carroll family? She lived with Timothy and Mary Elizabeth and Ruth was known as her half sister. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Charles Calvin Carroll
Hi Charles,

My family has a copy of a letter that he wrote to his wife and first 3 children while he was away fighting in the civil war. I'm pretty sure all I have is a typed copy, but I will get that to you when I find it so you can post it. I remember being so impressed at his words and that someone had the forethought to copy and keep it.

Take Care,

John W Carroll
Hi Charles,

Ref: John W Carroll Feb 20, 1857 - Jan 6, 1918. The W stands for William

Also, on Amanda Jane McKenzie Carroll
We have her listed in our family Bible. My copy of paperwork from that Bible lists her death as March 21, 1913 instead of 1918. My uncle has the Bible, I will check with him to verify. I don't know how confident you are in that date. I visited the cemetery in Harvest several years ago. I don't know when I will get a chance to do so again.

Hope this is helpful!

Have a nice day! :)
