Hi June,
I have been working on adding grave locations to gravesites at Riverview and have run across several duplications. Could you look at your memorial #25401799.
There is also another memorial that appears to be a duplicate of this #58342115
Could he have been married twice? Please take a look at this and let me know if 25401799 needs to be deleted.

RE: Sarah Catherine (Allomong) Estrich
I am probably telling you things you already know, but Willis Albert Estrich was quite an interesting man. He graduated from Tri-State College at Angola Indiana in 1903 and from the University of Michigan in 1908 with a Law degree. He briefly set up a law office at Bryan Ohio before moving to Rochester NY. He published a number of legal tracts while at Rochester; his last official position was Editor-in-chief of the Lawyers Co-operative Publishing Co. at Rochester. I find him and his wife (often in census records referred to as 'Sadie') as passengers returning from Bermuda aboard the 'Monarch of Bermuda', arriving at New York on Feb. 10, 1939 (which was apparently a few months before his death). He was a prominent resident of Rochester NY. There must be something about him in the Rochester newspapers. You might also be able to find his burial by contacting Monroe Co. New York.

You are welcome! If you are interested, they have two daughters with grave stones buried with them; Clara Estrich (1883-1981) and Ella C. Stackhouse (1879-1958). I also have their photos.

RE: Emmanuel Bittle
You are welcome. Honestly, adding the headstone picture was an afterthought. I had taken my two young girls there to explore and appreciate history. My father had taken me to this site over 20 years ago and I was always fascinated by it. It is sad it has been forgotten. When I went there all those years ago, there were quite a few headstones and markers. Yesterday, I was sad to see there are very few left. My guess is people have removed them or destroyed them over the years. I did not see any other Bittles. Of the few remaining headstones, several can not be read anymore.

There are no private property signs. The cemetery is located on top of a very steep hill on the southwest corner of Old Atherton Road and where the train tracks by the sewage treatment plant cross the road.

James W. Pelly
Found a grave out in a field today in Pellyton. Reads as follows: James W. Pelly Son of H & E Pelly. June 29, 1817. Nov 20, 1865. (I think it's James Madison Pelley, but I'm not sure.) Also, many slave stones. Not finding enough luck on, please advise. Thanks.

RE: Blanche (Roseberry) Allomong
Yes, I have one for Wm Carleton & Blanche as well as one for Wm & Frankie. Will try to get them up soon. I have to scan them as I took these back in 2001 or so. I can also tell you parents so that you can link Blanche up. Makes it nicer/easier to find photos.
Are you a descendant of Rachel or Margaret? Would love to compare/trade some info.

Joshua Null
I searched the entire cemetery and did not locate a headstone for Joshua Null. I did take a picture of Henry Null's headstone. He was the only Null that I located. I will post that photo.

Caroline & William Miller

I noticed both of our memorials were duplicated by the same person so I kindly asked them if they would add the headstone photos to our memorials respectively. Thanks for the heads up! Kym

Hi, my name is Theresa Brown and I just want to thank you for posting the picture of Mary and Martin Foltz headstone. Mary was first married to William Alec Rush. They were living in Philo at the time of his death, April 9, 1909. Several years later she married Gus Foltz. William was my great great uncle. Thank you so much for all your work!

Hi I am related to the Sheehans (Brocks, Standleys, Shinns, Lanhams etc). On, you have Cecil listed as a child of William Logan Sheehan and Laura Elizabeth Brock Sheehan, and he was actually the child of Luther Loran Sheehan and Sophia Lee Hart.

Also, Luther Loran Sheehan is the son of William Logan Sheehan and Laura Elizabeth Brock (my greatgrandfather). Luther was born 3/23/1877 in Carroll Co., MO and died Oct 2, 1919 in Collinsville, Tulsa, OK. He married Sophia Lee Hart b: Dec 2, 1879 Carroll Co., MO and died Sep 13 1940. They are both buried at Ridgelawn Cem in Collinsville, Tulsa, OK.

And other children of William and Laura are:
Nessie, 5/15/1886.

Thanks, Pamela Kauffman Reimer Smith

June, you created memorials for a number of my ancestors and apparently your husband is a distant cousin of mine. I'm beginning to add memorials to Find A Grave myself and hope you won't mind collaborating with me. Your entry for Mary Elizabeth Blackwell Bruton gives a date of death of 1861 whereas my info has 1869 (I presume 1861 came from grave marker). I am descended from Mary Elizabeth from her first marriage to Rev. John Hale(s). I created a memorial for him which contains biographical info on Mary E. I have also created memorials for her parents #81632682 and #81634710 - hope you will link her to these three. She was also mother of Sarah (Hale) Standley (wife of Ingram) and John Blackwell Hale, twice US Congressman from Missouri. Thanks, Mark Hale

William Henry Adkins
Hi June - I tried to photograph William Henry Adkins' stone yesterday in Elmwood Cemetery, Mexico, MO. I believe it has fallen over & is face down, but not 100% sure. There was a Stella Adkins buried next to this stone. I created a memorial page for her. I found a death certificate for an Elizabeth Stella Adkins in Saline County, and the dates matched. However, according to the DC, burial was in another cemetery. I'm a little suspicious of the accuracy of the DC.

My e-mail is if you'd like to contact me, I can send the pic of the overturned stone. Again, certainly not 100% sure it is William Henry's. Would his wife, Rhoda Jane Hall Adkins be on the same stone? According to City Hall, she is not in Elmwood, but I see on her DC that Elmwood is listed.

RE: Mount Union Cemetery, Upshur County, West Virginia

I am not sure if there are two Mount Union Cemeteries or not. I did not add either cemetery, just been adding relatives/others when I have the cemetery listed in my documents.

My suggestion is maybe contacting a local funeral home to see if there are two cemeteries with the name of Mount Union.

Sorry I wasn't of any help. I am making a trip to WV this week, maybe I will see what I can find out in my ventures. Will not be home until late week.
