You are welcome about the photos, but I didn't take them now in this awful weather! I got a kick out of that, haha. I took photos of the entire cemetery in nicer weather a while back, so if there are any others you want from Resurrection, I may have them already. Mary

You related to the Barnes?
I meant to ask you that and forgot about it. I guess I was so happy to find the direct family to me. Have a nice day.

RE: Samuel Barnes and his wife @ Harmony cemetery
Yes they are the beginning of our Barnes family in the USA. I am trying to find their families in Ireland. But to your question yes they are direct to me.

RE: Moellers
Hi Helen,
Yes, I would be happy to "watch over" that one!
I do not know if Margetta is alive or not; next time I go to the library and get on Ancestry, I'll try to find out. Most of the Moeller family tree information I found from the Mormon and from other family trees posted in Ancestry.
I just started all of this as a lark, and look at me now!!! What a hobby! I love learning all that I can!
Thanks again for writing to me so quickly!
And sigh, too bad we aren't related...but best wishes for you in your searches!!!
Cheers for all you do!

Hi Helen,
Are you related to Aloysius (born in 1920) and Margaretta Moeller?
Aloysus is the son of Constantine Aloysus (b. 1884) and Anna Didion Moeller, and Alysus's parents were Christian Moeller and Anna Brand, who emigrated from Vorde, Nordrhein/Westphalia, Prussia/Germany to Allegheny/Pittsburgh in 1873. Constantine's sister, Emma Brand Moeller, married Daniel Getto on Oct. 10, 1895 - and they are my mother's grandparents.
I'm happy to share all of the family info that I know! Apparently they were a very long lived family and good brewers! My mother remembers them as country people and she named her favorite dog ever AND my youngest brother after that grandfather, Danny!
Contact me if you know some more!

RE: Kurth @ StL Calvary
I am glad that I could help.

St Louis City and the County are pains! They each keep their own records before 1876/77 they were together. Then they split and now they are talking about rejoining. Ugh.

Happy New Year

I copied and added Mary's marker photo. Updated the death date, but this should be redone after the funeral home adds the proper date tag. Let me know if you do this and I will delete this one. I attributed the original photo to the donor.

RE: Regan Family, Johnstown, Pa
Thanks for that information! I do not know anything about the names you mentioned though, sorry! I have a distant cousin who contacts me out of the blue now and then, who lives in Johnstown. I think his connection is Dennis Regan, another sibling of Jeremiah's.

I noted you left a candle burning on his page. Are you related? He was my grandfather (his children were adopted by Mary and her husband, making me a Rodgers, not a Regan).

RE: Joseph & Elizabetha Killmeyer
Yes, those dates are for Elizabeth. I realized too late that I didn't have a way to add Joseph. He was born in 1832 and dies in 1906. Thanks.

I briefly read what you had posted, the info on the death certificate may not be correct. I just thought I would let you know what I found and where the info was from.
I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. I recently learned that biographies are not accepted as a prove for an ancestor. They are helpful bits of info though.

The Hartzell Family in western PA
Hi, Helen. I got your recent message about Marcell and Martha Hartzell and their children. I noticed that you have come to a recent standstill with their daughter, Martha. Martha married George B Gray on 31 July 1934 in Wheeling, Ohio, West Virginia. Martha died on 6 July 1962 in Wheeling as well. She is buried in West Alexander Cemetery. You can find her marriage and death certificate at . I am currently waiting for my edit request to either be processed or for her memorial to be transferred to me. I, too, am part of the Hartzell family. Raymond Day Hartzell is my great-grandfather. I'm curious how your son-in-law is related. Thank you for the recent note; I have been meaning to add information to the Hartzell memorials for quite sometime, but I've been very busy. Thanks again!

RE: James McBride - Parents?
I will work on it tomorrow. I figure they are most likely cousins.

By the way Rhoda's parents are buried in the Prairie Cemetery and given he died first maybe she got to decide where they would be buried.

Maybe she just didn't like being close to her inlaws! who are buried in Harmony.

James McBride - Parents?
Hi Helen,

I am the owner of the Find A Grave memorial for the James Malcom McBride buried in the Prairie Cemetery with the same DOB & DOD who was married to Rhoda S. McCoy. You are the owner of the Find A Grave memorial for the James McBride buried in the Harmony Cemetery down the road.

Today a photo request was filled for my memorial which shows clearly now that these were two different fellows. My research suggests that mine is a child of William McBride and Nancy Shaw.

So where we are at the moment is that both of our James McBride Find A Grave memorials are linked into the same parents. I think you will agree that this is highly unlikely.

Your memorial is: Find A Grave Memorial# 62537274
My memorial is: Find A Grave Memorial# 135118785

Anything you might be able to offer that would help us figure out which of these fellows is their son would be most helpful.

These are the kinds of puzzles that make this such an interesting retirement hobby .. don't you think!

Have a great day.
