RE: Flossie Meade
Hi Jack,

Yes she was married to a person with the last name of Meade however I don't have his first name. I was told her children's names are Connie, Kathy, Ronnie, and Willard. I have a picture of her. Are you related to her?

RE: John Sykes buried
When started working on my family tree, my Grandmother and Great Grandmother were still living. I talked to my Great Grandmother (Nannie Sykes Kerr) about the family, and she told me John, Jr. was buried in Russell County. The year of his death I got from "Sykes Family" history that was written by R. C. Sykes and donated to the Russell County Library in Lebanon, VA. (John Sykes, Jr (John{1}) was born 1784 in North Carolina and died 1860. He married Lydia Jane Hargis 1814, daughter of John Hargis and Elizabeth Freelove. She was born 1796, and died January 20, 1845.) As you can see, he doesn't say where he died and is buried.

John Sykes, Sr., died in 1851 and according to U.S. Veterans Gravesites is buried in the Sykes #2 Cemetery in Lebanon, VA.

I saw you have Lucy Booth Sykes buried in Berea Lutheran Cemetery in Nebraska. Do you by chance have a source on that info? The reason I ask, the same family history I cited above has her death in Russell County, VA.

Thank you for your help.
