Julia Rice photo request
I was about to accept your photo request for Julia Rice and was researching the cemetery before I go out there.

http://www.algw.org/bibb/cemeteries/images/thrasher/ricerja.jpg

I think the memorial listed for the cemetery for Junior Rice and Julia are the same person. Was Junior a nickname for Julia, or did someone make a major mistake on the stone? Not sure, since I don't know the family, but wanted you to see this.

RE: Pittman family
You are very fortunate to have your mother at 98. My dad was my information on family information. He knew so much about the people in Wayne County. He is gone now. He left this world 3 years ago next month.

RE: Pittman family
Hello, I don't think we are related to your James Pittman from Georgia and Greene Co.,Ms. He was probably connected to the Wayne County Pittman's.
The Wayne County Pittman's were a different set of Pittman's than my husbands. Most of my husband's Pittman were in Washington Parish, La., Marion County and Walthall County, Ms. There was a lot of James Pittman's. They probably do all connect way back, but I have not made that connection.
Now Annie Busby probably was in my Busby line. I don't know of her. But all the Busby's connect in that area. My 3rd great grandfather was Jermiah Busby, Sr. He and one of his brothers, Shepard Busby settled and raised families in the Wayne County, Ms area and one of their brothers, John Zachariah Busby (wife, Sarah Street) settled in the Mobile County, Al. area.

RE: Scott Maxwell
Look at my messages from way back - he's listed as 'Scott'. It is his wife line that is the Entrekin's.
Didn't he transfer your ggrandfather to you? His 'name' will still be on your ggrandfathers memorial, just click it.

RE: Hamrick Familys& Entrekin Familys
I must be related to Linda Ellis thru another line of her geneology. I do not think I am related to Entrekins of Mississippi. All my research indicates Oh, Pa, Md, Va.

Hello Cousin-
You should contact 'your cousin' Scott Maxwell' He added the picture to Wm Jasper's memorial. Actually it's his wife's line.
I descend from Wm Jasper's brother, Geo. Wash.
But I have an Entrekin book for references, AND you or perhaps your father is in it. :-)

Unfortunately I just happened upon this monument in a remote cemetary. I don't know who maintains the cemetary, therefore don't know who to contact.

Mr. Rotenberry

Thank you very much for posting a picture of the Green's, buried at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

I had already claimed that request. Had I known you were going to take a photo, I would have not wasted my time, getting the burial location or the time driving out to the Cemetery.

Have a great day.

Hi Richard,

You are very welcome for the photos. I will go back and see if I can find her gravestone for you. My family lives close by so I am in that general area weekly. It is a very quite cemetery surrounded by woods and beautiful in the fall. To get to the church, and cemetery, you travel a narrow, paved, winding country lane for about 1/4 of a mile. It if very peaceful there. A nice place to rest your soul. I tend to imagine my GG grandpa and GG uncles traveling down the lane in their wagons to go to the church.
