Amelia Schneider Rintz -- Find A Grave Memorial# 133071021
Hi there -- I just added parents to this memorial...Amelia was the sister of my husband's great-grandfather, and we are sure about the family lineage back to John Schneider just from my mother-in-law's personal knowledge. (A more legit source is the 1900 census, where Amelia and Harry Rintz are living in her father John Schneider's household.

United States Census, 1900," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M3WM-MKC : accessed 09 Mar 2014), John Schneider, Division 13 Philadelphia city Ward 31, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States; citing sheet , family 43, NARA microfilm publication T623, FHL microfilm 1241473.

Not related. TomC and I just decided to add everyone from Oakwood to make the information available. Everything I know about them is in the memorials.

RE: Lawrence & Martha Friel
Thank you!
It is unusual for spouses to be buried so far apart (and this is a huge cemetery) but I guess it's not unheard of.

Regards,

Hi! I hope you are correct about the link for them. They are located quite far apart in the cemetery. I'll do the link, but if you or I find out it is incorrect, I will unlink them.

Thank you.

No sweetie I grew up in St. Louis Missouri. I have been to Virginia 1 time and absolutely fell in love with that state. It is gorgeous like you.

We all as children took certain things for granted. I too wish that I would have done certain things as well. The most important thing that links you and I is the fact that we are the richest people in the world because we have our love and memories of our parents. Nobody can ever take that away from us.

Ma'am, That has been almost 5 moths ago and I can remember why I stopped by for your lovely mother and your father as well. Let me think about it for a few days and I'll send you another message. I don't randomly (as a rule) leave messages on F.A.G. memorials unless I have a reason. I never knew your parents. That puzzles me as well as to why I left a message. Just the same I'm sorry for your loss. Her smile and eyes tell me for some reason that she loved to cook and be around family.

RE: Emma (Rentz) Collard
Hi,
Emma married into my Collard line. All I know about Rentz is that her father was Jacob Rentz who died in 1909 at the age of 51 from TB, born Germany, was a tailor. His death certificate did not name his parents and there was only a short death notice in the local newspaper.

Emma was survived by a half-sister Mrs. David (Aletha) Gordon of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Sorry I don't know more.

RE: Chaffin, Fred & Fannie
Glad your happy about the photo. Unfortunately the stone that was chosen is one that's not easy to photograph. I've been working on photographing the Iaeger cemetery for the past 2 summers. As you probably already know the office at the cemetery has no records of many of their older burials due to vandalism and fire. I'll do my best to give you directions to their headstone. Sitting right in the middle of the cemetery is a church. If your looking at the church from old Rt. 52(the only road into the cemetery) you would drive up the road to the left of the church. There's a 4 way intersection at the back corner of the church. Keep going straight through the intersection and the headstone for Fred and Fannie is on the left about half way up the hill. It's in one of the first 3 rows from that side of the section. Happy hunting, hope you find it.
