Bowdish Children
Hello again,

I have found and posted obits on 3 of Mary and Scott Bowdish children. Albert, Stanley and William. I cannot find the daughter, Mina or Mena Sanborn who died in Cal. in 1953. I do not know if she is buried there. In Scott's obit it mentions a daughter Myrtle living in Lansing, MI at the time of his death. Mary's states 1 son (who would be Morris) and two daughters were alive at the time of her death. There was not a married name for Myrtle. Mary's obit states 7 children (3 living at the time of her death). Scott's says 8.

I thought this might give you a few more names on your tree. If you know the married name of Myrtle and the death date of Maude (all names I found) I would be happy to try and find anything that might be here on them for you.

RE: Mary Frances Risley Bowdish
Hello Matt,

You are welcome. I hope it gave you some new information. I also have placed the obit of her husband and little daughter's death. This was such a sad happening. If I can help you with anything else in this area. Just email.

Ancestry also has the original record, I went by the transcription instead of looking at the record, after reading the original, you are right, sorry for the mix up. Eileen

RE: A.A. Wilson - Mountain View Cemetery, Butte, MT
I volunteer at the Butte Silver Bow Archives on Thursdays - tomorrow. It is very easy for me to take a minute to see how long August A. Wilson is listed in their collection of city directories. I'll check it out and get back to you. Pat

The grave site photo has been posted and location edits sent as well. Have you tried Butte City Directories to narrow down when he lived in the area? Also, the funeral home which buried him, Daniels and Bilboa, have not been in business since the 20's. But you might try calling the funeral homes in Butte to see if any of them have the old burial records for this company. If you can find them, that might give you leads as to who paid for the funeral - and it was paid for so it was not a pauper grave. Cost: $10 for labor and ground. Pat

RE: Edit request
I trust that it was written as such, but:
a) Heratn does not make sense;
b) HeratH is common in Indiana;
c) n and h only differ by a small line;
d) most likely mis-read at some stage of all the copying.
No dates, not found in censusses, etc.
No parents. Must be a baby?
Is there a gravestone?

RE: Straubs
Dear MSB,
You've identified important family resting places. Amelia,the mother and my grandmother, died of appendicitis on that lonely Indiana farm. Elizabeth, the infant daughter, died shortly thereafter (I'll research the date mismatch). Emma, the eldest daughter, took over the family and remained a spinster. George, a suicide after his family had grown up, because of these and other circumstances was, in fact, able to be buried in hallowed ground.
Truth will out, even if after a hundred years.

Lee Mann
Gardnertown Cemetery
Hello to MSB,

I'm Lee Mann, and three of my maternal ancestors are buried at the Gardnertown Cemetery... my fifth great-grandfather, Abner Mack, his son, Ebenezer and his wife Betsey. I've been able to pin down the location of the cemetery to three possible locations but would like to be more accurate. As you've taken pictures at the site perhaps you can help me out.

The first location: on Gardnertown Rd near a small road named (I believe) Coreley Rd. co-ordinates 42.593594 -75.100530.

Second location: Close to the intersection of Rt's 11, 15 and Gardnertown Rd (also seems to be called Townline Rd). co-ordinates 42.593715 -75.075619.

Third location: Close to intersection of Gilbert Lake Rd and Gardnertown Rd. co-ordinates 42.600721 -75.117565.

Can you help?

Jodi Mattingly
RE: John Platt
Thank you for adding the obit. for John.

I've only begun my research on this branch
of my family.

My line is John and Leah (Johnson)
from New York to Switzerland Co IN
Thomas and Rebecca (White)
from Switzerland Co IN to Tipton Co IN
Levina Platt and Henry Duckworth
stayed in Tipton Co IN
where my family still lives.

I hope to make a trip up to New York and Connecticut sometime to visit the places they came from.

Which is your family line ?

Ann Tompkins and Peter LaDue
Hello MSB. We've come across the family of Peter LaDue, buried in the Rombout Rural Cemetery, Brinckerhoff, Dutchess Co, New York. Several family trees list his wife as Ann (Anne, Anna) Tompkins, possibly born 1723 East Chester and possibly died 1785 Fishkill. Can you furnish any additional information or source? Can you tell us if she is also buried in Rombout Rural Cemetery probably without a marker. Thank you, Raymond Tompkins.

You are welcome to use any of my photos as long as it is not for commercial purposes. That is why I do this so families can connect.

Hi Matt.
Just saw this. Nice ship! My father took me to see the tall ships in Boston Harbor near Danvers during the bicentennial. We'll connect later. Not had much time recently.

Well thanks so much for getting it any way you got it. I appreciate all the pictures and info I can find on this family. My Father wasn't a big talker about his family so until recently, I had no clue the people I had in my family.... It's been quite a journey.
Thank you also for those great websites that you sent me. It is so fascinating to me that all these things have been preserved so that my grandchildren and future great grandchildren can see and enjoy them also.

I will be contacting Perth, but if you are lucky enough to get Betsy's please let me know. I would love to have it also.... and if there is anything I can help with on my Adams branch, feel free to contact me.
Thanks you again and again,
