Hi, I have info on Angela Witte. She was my gg grandmother, married to Stephen Witte of Old Monroe. I was wondering where she was buried since I couldn't find her at Immaculate Conception in Old Monroe. Are you related? Please contact me if you have any questions. M Henning

Hi Trish,

I noticed a sign yesterday about a Speegle reunion. I didn't catch the date or where but I suspect it to be around the Trimble area. Thought you might like to know.

I also stopped to talk to a friend of mine; she is one of the first people I talked to when I moved here in 2011. Her name is Nona Speegle Phillips. She has just turned 88 and is still working at her son's veggie market on the side of CR 222. I have encouraged her to write her memories down, she said she had been. She told me that she and one other are the last two of her generation alive. She said David Speegle was her grandfather, think this would be the Speegle that owned the Brushy Creek Cemetery, we were talking about the black slave girl/woman buried there when she made reference to him. I hope you get to talk with her if you are ever over this way.

RE: Flora Gentry
You are very welcome! Although the pics are not very good, you can ask the owner on for permission to copy his and perhaps he will allow it. I have seen that happen many times. Maybe someone familiar with Forest Crest will get better ones. Good Luck.

Flora Gentry
Patricia: I notice that you have requested a photo of the marker for Flora Gentry buried at Jefferson Memorial East and they have no record of her burial.
FYI: There is a Flora Gentry buried at Forest Crest and a picture of her marker along with her husband Coner are on Perhaps this is your Flora Gentry.
Hope this helps.

RE: James Brock
I could send you an edit on both of them. If you approve the edits, it will clear up the quotes that are causing the hidden names in the fields. Want to try that?

RE: James Brock
I see the problem on the father's memorial; the quotes are in the middle name field after the middle name. When you try to edit it, the quote and everything after it doesn't show. But they are still there.

Added by Frankz on May 30, 2015 7:12 PM

RE: James Brock
That's what I meant about a when a quote gets saved in a name field; you go back to edit it later and the field looks blank, because of an error the quotes cause in the edit system. All you have to do is retype the name in that field and save it, and that should clear it up. Or just save it on what appears to be the blank field, and that will remove whatever is in that field that isn't showing, however it got there.

RE: James Brock
If the nickname was in the nickname field, it wouldn't be in italics the way it is now. The only field that displays italics is the maiden name field. When quote marks are placed in a name field and saved, and then you later go back to edit it, the field will appear blank because the quotes screw up the edit function, that is why you don't see it in the maiden name field when you click to edit it. Test it out since you don't believe me: open the memorial in 2 pages and then edit 1 by typing Bob into the nickname field and saving it and seeing what it looks like compared to the other.

Memorial #87096707 Maria Hanebrink
Patricia: By doing research and contacting Charlie Loewe, I've now found out that Anton Hanebrink's wife was Maria Catharina Dobelmann b.Nov 25, 1830 Germany d.Jan 10, 1917 Old Monroe Lincoln MO. And the Memorial #87096707 is her not Maria who married John Hanebrink. John Hanebrink and his family lived in St. Louis, Missouri not Old Monroe Lincoln MO. Plus with having the birth/baptism and MO death records for Maria Catharina Dobelmann Hanebrink, it confirms her dates.
I would still love to see what information is on the memory cards and what you researched. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks, Shirley :)

Memory cards? Wow! If you can find them, is there a way to email copies of them to me?
My email address:
This might solve some of the problems we are having with names.
I'm doing a bit of research on Maria who shows up on the 1870,1880,1900 Census [which you indicated on the Findagrave memorial] with her husband John & children Barney, Casper & Mary. I'm just wondering if this family is related to the one I'm researching - Anton Hanebrink & his wife.
Looking forward to seeing what you can find.
Thanks!!!! Shirley :)

Memorial #87096707 Maria "Mary' Dobleman Hannebrink
Hi. I'm researching the Hanebrink family branch and came across your posting on Findagrave for Maria 'Mary' Doubleman Hannebrink. You have posted that her husband was John and son Casper. Where did you get that info? My research indicates she is Maria Dobelman who married Anton Hanebrink. Anton's MO death record does indicate he was buried in St. Mary's.
Thanks, Shirley :)

RE: Tuckers
You're welcome on all the pictures. I had given up and was checking one more section on way to car when found Sherrell. ( do you know which is correct spelling-sherrell or sherrill? My dads is Sherrell. )
Found Tuckers while driving out, saw name and stopped. Both jewell & james family headstone is beside john ransom & luara family headstone.
At some plots they will have a headstone with it set in the middle of several plots so that burials on both sides are related.
I took pics of those that are around the same headstones.
