Samuel Harvey Sutherland
Hi Cousin! In visiting the gravesite headstone of Samuel, I noticed you have his spouse as Emma C Sutherland, when in fact Samuel's spouse is Emma Bever Sutherland! Emma C(ase) is my gr grandmother and she married Samuel's brother George Harrison Sutherland. Emma is the mother of my grandmother, Mae (Sutherland) McCann. I know you'll recognize her name as she and your grandmother, Flossie, were first cousins. Kathie (McCann) Wise

RE: Nancy Nora (Sutherland) Henderson
Hello,

Sorry I haven't been researching much lately. I've made the links you requested. If you would like to manage this memorial please let me know. My husband is buried in this cemetery and I've been working on getting it online.

Darius Sutherland
Hi, DJ,

I've transferred Darius's memorial page to you. He is not my relative and I'm only too happy to reunite families.

Best to you,
Deb.

Roger Sutherland
Roger was the son of William Jr. our first born American Sutherland in 1698. his father, William Sr. immigrated to the states in 1684 aboard the ship, the Henry and Francis. it landed in New Jersey. Roger is my 7th great grandfather. I would really love to know where Roger's dad and grandpa are buried. I would also love to know our family's ancestry past William Sr. my mother is big into genealogy and she can't find anything about him except for his arrival in America.

DJ,
Do you know of a John Sutherland who married Agnes Richards around 1850. I found them in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 Missouri census.

Any info greatly appreciated.

RE: Simon RINALDO Sutherland
DJ, no the caretaker did not say why there was no marker. My understanding is that you can purchase a marker for a reasonable price by contacting companies that make gravestones and asking them if they have one they made a mistake on, or an older one that someone upgraded, etc. Of course, you could also do the small flat stone marker but i noticed that the engraved names tend to wear off eventually. If you want to arrange something I would be more then happy to take care of the right placement, etc. Everyone at Elmwood is very friendly.

RE: Simon Sutherland
You requested Simon Rinaldo Sutherland buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Fruita, CO. Originally when I checked with the cemetery they said he was filed under Simon Roberts Sutherland, NOT Rinaldo, but it is the same person.

Simon Sutherland
I found Simon Sutherland's plot at Elmwood Cemetary over the weekend. Unfortunately, there is no marker or stone but the caretaker took me to the plot and I did post a photo.

sutherland book
Hi, what Roger Sutherland book do you have? I am a descendant from Silas Sutherland, born around 1784 and married Sarah Cummings (Granny White). They pioneered to Indiana and Silas died in route in Southern Indiana. I am trying to find the parents of Silas. Maybe you can help me? Thanks, Sandy

RE: Willson/Kintz family
I'm happy to help you. I wanted to tell you a couple of things which may be of interest to you. In the plot with Rozella Kintz there was also Joseph Kintz, Robert Hillier, E. Frank McClellan, Charles W. McClellan, and Edgar McClellan. Also, I searched the cemetery, as well as the two nearby cemeteries, for other Kintz family members, and found none.

I have no idea who laminated the photo on Rozella's tombstone, but I tried to get the best shot of it that I could. It had faded quite a bit, but I used photoshop to enhance it has much as I could.

Margaret Sutherland
I too went to Center Grove Cemetery in search of Margaret Sutherland. Her grave seems to have fallen over. It is right by a Sarah Sutherland Bell, so I'm assuming it was hers. It has fallen over on it's front because the side that is facing up is fairly smooth. So I couldn't confirm any dates. It was a pretty big stone, and we just didn't feel right lifting it. I will the post the photo of the top that says Margaret, but for now that's the best I can do.

Margaret Sutherland
I went to Center Grove today and searched every stone. The only possibilities are ones that are illegible, or one lying on its face (the only thing that makes me think it's that stone is that it has "Margaret" carved into the top that is just visible through the grass). I'll try contacting someone at the church and maybe they can enlighten me.
