RE: Message on Ruth MacDonald's Memorial
Ruth was my pal in Pioneer Girls. She also helped me plan my wedding to Jim Baez back in 1983. My parents were Bob and Nell Peters. Ruth and Mac used to pick me up and take me to Grace Church before I got a car. They were both very sweet to me and I will never forget them. I met you a few times when you'd come over to visit them on a Sunday.

Greenlawn Cemetery, Uniontown, OH
Hi Nancy,
We respectfully request permission to use the entrance photo in our personal tree. Bruce has a cousin interred there and the photo will make a great addition to our tree.

Thanks for your consideration.

RE: Obituary for Sylvenus Allen
You're welcome, Nancy. I came across an obit for Jennie Allen (daughter of Amos, granddaughter of Sylvenus). If you will email me at the address on my profile, I will happily pass it on to her. I don't believe there is a Find A Grave memorial for her to attach it to or use the "edit" button for. - Merllene

RE: Glen Chandler
Hello Nancy,

Saw your Chandler graveyard. Do you know any family members who might come up with photos to post?

Rebecca Benton McKnight
RE: Glen Chandler
Hello Nancy,

Thanks for your updates.

Actually, I am blood kin to Glen Chandler's wife, Minnie Alice Benton Chandler. Her grandfather, Anson Benton, and my great grandfather, George Benton were brothers. I have a special interest in researching Anson's family, as it seems for so many records his name is incorrect and he is only identifiable by the presence or nearness of other family members. This Benton line goes back to the Revolutionary War, through Zebulon Benton and from there back to the New Haven Colony which was absorbed early on into the Colony of Connecticut. They arrived on the continent in the 1630s. You might also be interested to know if you don't that the Washington State Library reference desk is offering free research for obituaries of people dying in Washington State. If you need an obituary go to the following web address: http://www.sos.wa.gov/library/ask.aspx

Hiesela
Loon Cemetery
Hello Nancy... I went to Loon Cemetery... did not know the legends associated with the cemetery before I went... but I did search the entire cemetery. I only found the two Allen's that already have a photo posted for them on findagrave no other Allen stones could I find. The cemetery is located about 3/4 mile through prairie grass to get to it. And the cemetery is enclosed by a fence. However it is totally over grown with prairie grass and even though I searched the best I could I could not find any other Allen stones. I did post however the memorial that was posted at the entrance to the cemetery that lists the names of those buried there. However unfortunately it does not list any dates.

Dr. William Pollard
I was happy to help. As you can see from the photo, the ground has cover some of the head stone. I was reluctant to dig it out without the proper permission.

Take care.
