Mayflower Pilgrim 332
Rev. Arnold & Edna Funk
Good Morning, Thanks so much for the sponsorship of these two Funk sites. I have transferred these two sites to your care. If I am not related & my sites are sponsored, I in most cases transfer sponsored memorials. Thanks again, Richard

RE: Gingerich
Hi Mary Lou!

Best I can tell the stone says:

Fredericka
Wife of
John Gingerich
Died
Apr. 9, 1880
Aged
80 yrs 1 Mo 9 D

However, I will be back in Iowa next spring and can see if I can feel the letters for sure. The Cemetery Directory of Amish and Mennonites in Iowa, Johnson and Washington Counties of Iowa lists the 80-1-9 but doesn't list what the numbers reference. Hope that helps. If we are related I would love to compare notes.

Miss Blosser
My grandfather's parents
I have emailed you about him. But I see your Amos Blosser is not my great-grandfather. Blossers are a big family! Again, thank you Sincerely Patricia Jean Blosser-Lotfinia.

Transfer
I transferred your Aunt Nancy Raby to your care. You might want to add a note about her name being different from her marker. I'm thinking I've changed it before through the edit program.

So sorry that there is no grave marker. The family did not place one on his grave. I left a note with the picture that says no grave marker. Also under the leave flowers and a note" I left a note that says no grave marker. I can remove the flower and put grass if you wish.

Yes please that would be nice, there are many versions of this on Ancestry also, the news articles, in the beginning it was rumored he was dead, not sure exactly how he died but wasn't from this. I'm related to Branscum's but he isn't my line, thanks so much.

Glad to do it.

I took photos of all 30 headstones. Is there any reason photos should not be posted. I know the Yoders were Amish or Mennenite. Do they not allow photos of headstones?

If not, I'll finish the whole cemetery. It's tiny. The proverbial, blink and you missed it.

I will talk to the caretaker and see if he knows why there is no headstone or if maybe I wrote down the wrong location.

I said recent bc caretaker talked to a lady while I was there whose mother died 10 years ago but she had never bothered to get a headstone until now.

RE: Thomas Jones, s/o Shadrick Jones
Mary Lou,
Thomas Jones death certificate said his burial was 10/14/1915, Brunot, MO. His mother Nancy Jane King Jones, and most all his relatives are buried in Brewington Cemetery Madison County, MO.
So, that is most likely where he is buried.

Thomas Jones, s/o Shadrick Jones
Mary Lou,

I am the great, great granddaughter of Shadrick Jones and Nancy Jane King. I am curious why you don't have his son Thomas Jones listed with the children of Shadrick Jones?

Thomas Jones and Elizabeth Carnahan are my great grandparents and Thomas was the son of Shadrick Jones and Nancy Jane King.

Mary Elizabeth Jones Mangum, "my grandmother" was the daughter of Thomas Jones and Elizabeth Carnahan.

Eugie
So happy to transfer this memorial to you. She was also my dad's first cousin and such a dear lady. His mother, Ethel Mead and her father "Alec" Mead were brother and sister. Eugie looked a lot like my grandmother in her later years. Eugie's second husband, Mikel Everett was a brother to my dad's second wife's husband Leroy Everett. I don't know whether or not you knew this but A.B. and Eugie's daughter, Barbara, was married to Mikel and Blanche's son, Charles, had been married to each other for many years before Eugie and Mikel got married (making them not only husband and wife but step-brother and step-sister).

Thank you so much for making the new memorial. I am SO sorry I did not add the picture earlier. I somehow missed this message and just "found" it now!
I hope to get back to the cemeteries in the spring and continue taking pictures. All the best, Rebecca
