Born in 1945, the daughter of Peter Tyce Dodson (son of Henry Clay Dodson and Fannie Adams Dodson) and Alma Brooke Jeter Dodson (daughter of Tillman Ellett Jeter and Willie Spencer Jeter), both natives of Halifax County, Virginia, I now live in Calvert County Maryland. My parents moved to Maryland before I was born and lived there the remainder of their lives. I married William R. Bryant of Annapolis in 1965, and we have three children and an increasing number of grandchildren. Most of my time is occupied as the secretary-bookkeeper of my local Baptist church, but I also enjoy doing family history research. Therefore, I make the 4- or 5-hour trek to Halifax and Pittsylvania Counties in Virginia as often as possible. My desire, in this respect, is to leave a record of our family's heritage for future generations.
