William Jones Jr
Sorry Robert, I had William Sr's death year incorrect in my database (1860). It's 1868 on his memorial page.

William Jones Jr - Son of Catherine Beam
He was born one month before William Jones Sr died. He is found in the 1870 Census in Sherwood, Branch Co, with his mother and siblings; John, Sarah, Isaac and Irene. I can send you a copy of his death certificate if you would like, just email me at and I can fill you in our our branch of the family. Nice to hear from someone in the Jones family.

RE: Eli Duverney (Duvernay) #32922491
Dear Robert,

Thank you for your interest in the Duvernay Clan. Eli and William Duvernay were brothers. I added some biographical notes to Eli's memorial. They both served in the Civil War, although in different Company's. I am not sure that I am the one to explain the name spelling variation, or corruption. It could be that the Eli, William, and the rest of the children did not read or write. I am not sure about William, but according to the 1870 Census, Eli could not read or write.

Thank you again, RJS

You asked:
How does Eli Duvernay relate to Wm Duverney #160006344? Both Eli and William have Headstones Provided for Deceased Union Civil War Veterans. On both the surname is spelled Duverney. Please let me know and I will delete one just posted.

RE: George Benton
I deleted the one George Benton and transfered the other to you so you can now add to his bio, photos etc.

I'm don't have anything more on the infant Frank Benton to tell you.

George Benton
I will delete this one: 6883004 But I wanted to make sure you had your photos saved so you can add them to 16882999. Let me know when you are ready and I will delete it.

Corp. Geo. Benton #16883004 and George Benton #16882999 are the same person and I suggest that one of these memorials should perhaps be removed. I am a direct descendant of George & Martha Brink Benton (my mother, Vivian Benton Blackburn, is a great granddaughter). Because of the Civil War history of five Benton brothers (three died while serving in the Union Army and George was wounded) I would like to add a biography to this memorial. Thank you for your consideration, Robert Blackburn

Hi Charles. I didn't see a memorial page set up for Celias husband William. Were you going to create one. Then you could create a link between the two of them. You could connect her to her sons also.

In your bio of Charles Nelson Blackburn, you state that he pwned a small store and gas station just outside of Sherwood. I grew up in Sherwood and was wondering exactly where this was. I thought maybe on the corner past the cemetery. Thanks. Tina Badder

Hello again. I forgot to tell you, on Johanna DeGlopper O'Beck, just click on the photo you want to remove, then at the top of the page there will be a button that says "delete picture". Also, I still haven't figured out who Frank and Margaret Hannum, and Timothy Dennis are, or how they're connected to the family. I will have to keep searching!

Also, on the page for Johanna DeGlopper O'Beck, you posted a photo for the headstone of Johanna Fidell O'Beck, these are two different people. Could you remove that photo please? It won't let me do it. Thank you again!

Thank you so much for all the wonderful photos! I find it odd that with so many burials there wasn't a large stone with O'Beck on it. Again, thank you so much. I wish I were close enough to research in the area myself.

Thank you
Thank you so very much for the tombstone pictures of my Great Grandpa, Arthur Rawn and wife Ada. It means so much to me to have them. Living in Texas makes visiting his grave in person very difficult. Thank you again for your kindness. Sincerely,
