Hi Scott. Your ancestor is the only other person besides my family that I have come across who came from Smadunka. Supposedly my family ran an inn at the crossroads there, so it was very small - not even amounting to a village or shtetl.
Can you tell me anything else you know or can find about Smadunka?
Are there any family stories? According to my family it is actually in Belarus, near Lithuania.

Scott: Name is Jerry, don't remember if we have talked before. You have a posting on Johannes Frederick Doughman, Clermont, Co. Oh. with very accurate info. I desperately need to documentation on Jacob Weller Doughman B:1809 Centre Co. Penn, D: 1855 Warren County Oh. He was the nephew of your Johannes Frederick Doughman and the son of Jacob Doughman, Brother of your Frederichk and Jacob's wife Elizabeth Thompson. I am working to prove that John Doughman the father of Jacob Doughman & Johannes Frederick Doughman (John's wife was Anna Babbara Weller) was a Revolutionary War patriot from Frededick County Maryland. I need to make the link from Jacob Weller Doughman to his father Jacob Doughman. I have a lot of Doughman history & Genealogy if you are interested. Can you help me out?

Hi Scott..Mary isn't buried in Orange Co. with her husband Anthony..they lived in Yonkers when she died, and Uncle Tony buried her in her hometown near her mother..When he got sick his daughter brought him home to Orange Co where she lived...unless you have documents that say she was moved, I'll have to think she's still in Yonkers..

|Jon Kindschy||Katherine (Schiess) Kindschy|
Thank you for all your work for Find-a-Grave. In reviewing my family's history, I discovered listings for the graves of my second great grandparents, Jacob and Anna Schiess, and their daughter, my great-grandmother, Katherine Schiess. She married my great-grandfather Christian Kindschy. He had changed the spelling of his name from "Kindschi" to "Kindschy". Despite all of the other Kindschi's in the Salem Honey Creek Cemetery, the proper spelling of Katherine's (Kate) last name is Kindschy. If you look very closely at her gravestone picture you will see this as well. Thank you.

|Sharon ||Thanks, Scott|
Thanks for getting back to me. Like you I have not found a common ancestor between us yet. Our Swedlow family came to the United States in the 1890's, primarily to New York. The majority of the family later relocated to the Denver, CO area. Eventually many of them ended up in Los Angeles, CA.
My husband's maternal grandfather was Morris Swedlow (1883-1928)and his maternal grandmother was Sarah Tunick (1883-1929). They were both born in Minsk, Russia and died in Denver, CO.
I noticed that you were born in Norfolk, VA. I lived in Virginia Beach, VA from 1962 until 1973. Life is full of coincidences!

My husband's mother was Yetta Swedlow. She was the daughter of Morris and Sarah (Tunick) Swedlow. I have been researching the family name for over ten years.
First of all, I would like to thank you for the information entered in findagrave.
Second, my husband and I are curious if you are related to our Swedlow family. Please advise.
Third, if you are related to us, we may have some information to share.

|Lynne||Emiline Bennett Buehler|
Hi. Am currently doing lineage research for DAR and looking for proof of Emiline's parents. Specifically, need proof that Nathan Bennett and Mary Bartlett were Emiline's parents. Older DAR papers prove lineage through Mary Bartlett Albertus but not with husband surnamed Bennett. Thanks for any help. The photos are very clear and easy to read!
