Bill, Since you created this memorial I was hoping you lived in the area and could tell me what would be the best resource for an obit for someone that is buried in Westwood? Thank you, Gail
I located a spreadsheet and took that data of that spreadsheet and post it to the memorials in the Westwood, Calif cemetery.
If you are seeking more data I would suggest trying Google dot com first, then trying ancestry dot com second, then I would try looking into a newspaper in Westwood or that area to see if any data was printed in that newspaper. If you are not from the Westwood area you might want to visit on your next vacation to that area or maybe have some other genealogist do some research for you. As for my self that is outside of my area of influence. Good luck. Bill

|Oklahoma Bob||RE: Obituaries|
It depends on how long ago the obituary you are searching for was out. The local paper, The Seminole Producer, has some obits and archived obits on its pages.
Otherwise, the only funeral home in Seminole, Swearingen Funeral Home, would be a good place to ask or get further info. Hope this helps.

I'm not the best person to ask about finding obituaries, as I have not spent much time looking for them. All I have ever done is to search the local newspapers around the time the person died.

I truly appreciate your help! I don't know how I happened to get the wrong link, but certainly I never would have found the error if not for you.
Recently I have become much more observant about getting sources for suggested links, and this help from you encourages me to be diligent.

Gail, I am not related to Harrison. I have a subscription to ancestry.com and when I found his death certificate I thought I would add it to his page. Sorry I can't be of any help to you.

|traycx||Ruth Scott - Greenwood Cemtery|
I have tracked down some info for Ruth Scott who was suppose to have been buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Centralia, WA.
Two lots were purchased when her father Henry G Scott died, Dec 3, 1944. A note was added that it was for his daughter. The note was added later with a file number. The name on that file is "George Van Valkenburg (Ruth Scott Van Valkenburg" from Tacoma. This record showed the purchase of three lots. This purchase was later canceled. And the word return was printed over the top of the original purchase on Henry Scotts record.
So Ruth Scott (Ruth Van Valkenburg) was not buried here.
